Well...this isnt gonna be what you think.
I need help.
I'm Chairperson for an event at my highschool. it was going to be called "the anti-dance". but then we thought that that sounds sort of "negative". and people will be like "oh your just a bunch of rebels...blah blah."
Sooo...i need your help with coming up with a name. You people are the most creative bunch i know.
To give you a bit of an idea of what's going to happen: the first hour or so, we'll have a dvd showing on a projector screen of acoustic live performances. we have the dvd for Dave Matthews Band, and Incubus.
The Last two hours, we're going to have a live band perform. Possibly two bands.
it's going to take place in the YMCA camp gym. we're going to decorate it like an old vintage caf
Untitled...literally...

Fresh out o' creativity
But I'll give it a shot anyway.
How 'bout The Un-Dance?
The "I Can't" Dance?
And this isn't original, but if it's at school, how about (tip of the hat to Elix) "The Kids In The Hall"?
yeah, they all suck. But I'm just getting warmed up. The next batch will really suck!!

Don't mess with Sparta. Watch:
Your ass is mine, Socrates!
Get back! Yield! Yield!
The Crash Pad-- It's Too Late For Helmets.
The big question is... Once you've had weasel sticks, can you ever go back?

What?!? No Karaoke?!? Rock on.
Okay, here's my two cents. . .
Rock Around the Clock (lame, I know, but it was the first thing that came to mind.)
Cabaret Night.
We had that at my school. Of course, it did involve more performances by students. And the last three years I don't think it ever really got it's feet off the ground because we lost half the drama department when I was a sophomore and people just got lazy and the drama teacher was so unorganized and. . . *stops and gasps for air as she steps off her bitter soap box about the high school drama department*
Coffee House Thing (are you having coffee and stuff?)
Vintage Cafe' Thing
Hopper's Dream (a tribute to artist Edward Hopper.. . . uh, no. That's the art history geek in me)
Does the thing have a theme? Like Paris, the 1920s, how vintage are we talking here?
