It's a process; your, mine, and everyone else's ideas showed me that nothing was a really sticking. And hey, nothing stopping you from starting your own collaboration. If everyone's only doing a comic or less a week, depdending on what the rollcall looks like, it wouldn't be too hard to possibly do two.
Your welcome to continue this pursuit; I'm not presenting myself as ruler of this thread~ Where is burstera anyway?

AAAAAH!! What the hell is going on here!
First there were 2 pages. I did'nt post a reply yet because I thought I'd better let it flow through some more..
But now.. 7 PAGES!! 7!!!!
You people.. you.. you.. you're so cool. I'm so jealous.
But the going to sleep thing was a bit.. well.. yeah.
Okay, now about the genre. I thought we could just let it evolve by itself, making some really weird comic. But if you want a comic really with a genre, then that's cool. I mean, we're all in this together.
My idea for the first comic was:
{boy jumping around over rooftops in his pyjamas and dragging along a katana}
I am Bob.
I like my PJs.
I also like my katana.
He's called Bob too.
Bob and me love eachother.
{boy hugs katana}
{enter music}
Hmm?
Then the next artist could say where the music came from, and so the story would go on and on by all sorts of artists, and eventually end in some sort of genre, most fitting the past storylines.
So.. yeah.. My idea. But.. y'know.. you are here too. So... okay.. Like.. 's cool.
BTW, at the moment I'm typing this, I'm signing us up for collaboration.keenspace.com, oh, I can't, I need a title.. Silly me.
Oh, and another BTW:
Asymptote of Doom is a bit too much on the weird side, so sorry.
I also really like Comic Writer X.
Titles I really like:
Collaboration Fornication
Team Super Fun
Comic Writer X
Oh, and also ThinkTank

If you aren't all familiar with it, Impromanga or Centerstorm are two sites where "improvised" round-robin type comics were done. It's a shame Impromanga went bust this year as they had some classic series. Some regulars from Impromanga went and created Centerstorm to carry on the tradition. They're also working on a full archive of the original Impromanga titles.
But anyhoo, it's good that you guys are actually planning this out. Most of the Impromanga titles were just first come first serve type deals where complete strangers would sign up for a story, wreck havok with the plot and continuity, throw in a new character just for their own ego, and leave the story in complete shambles.
But it was fun.

HAH! I'm awake!
Bursterea (sorry if spelt wrong)- Maybe the title of the website could be Collaberations, and the the title of the Comic could be something else.
Bleh, i can't type, it's 9:00 am, but i'm still tired.
Edit: Mm yeah, and r we gonna do a comic comic, or a manga comic? or half in half? or however the person draws, they draw it that way, or is there gonna one style that everyone draws around...?
Actually, nevermind, I think it'd too early to talk about drawing style...
We first need stuff set up...

Ewwww... you people! How late did you stay up? Now I feel out of the loop.
After reading 7 pages of posting (yuk) I am feeling that there are two camps now: the make-fun-of-comics comic and the unknown genre comic. I'm all about a serious comic, considering I waste my days away doing a funny one (its funny, right? right?).
I'm thinking Comic Writer X for the title.
Maybe our own world for the setting. That way we can define things as we go along. Its not necessarily fantasy, but there can be elements of sci-fi/post-apocalypse/mecha in it (think Final Fantasy 6).
I like the idea of a horror genre, but that could get really taxing. Especially for those of us who have never used the genre.
Characters do need to be dynamic and individual (ie, added by different artists). Maybe when they are added the artist can write a little bio so that other artists known what they are all about. Then we put it on a Cast page for all to see.
The first comic does need to set the stage almost entirely so we also need to agree on the pilot episode artist.
That is all I have to say.
