and for a minute, that cop in the second panel...I thought she was Caryn. But it can't be unless she's changed careers
By the way...

What's a WetBag? Why, it's wet!
It's a brown paper bag that's wet to the point of breaking....but it never breaks. It oozes a strangely coloured, kind of sticky substance that can't be identified and stains your fingertips if you touch it. Nobody has ever opened the WetBag, and nobody ever will. The only thing you can do with a WetBag is give it to someone else. If you throw it away, it might come back--but nobody's been brave enough to try.
If you hold it, it drips. If you put it down, a puddle forms. It never seems to get any drier.
As for your second observation, you're right--it IS Caryn. She has the distinction of being a character in Tonja Steele as well as JF. In TS, she's Tonja's partner on the police force, and the only person who can babysit Mindy without exploding. Strangely, I ended up basing that version of her on Joey's version of my original design. If that makes any sense...

Ah, sorta like how Ben Affleck can play himself and Holden McNeil in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and how the characters in that movie that came from other movies can refer to the movies they've actually been in, only they don't know they were actually in that movie, and...
Oww.... my head hurts now....
..............
"Affleck, you the bomb in 'Phantoms" yo!"
