Enjoyed the scribbly fella's dialogue.... Shades of Sinfest. Not derivative in any sense; pleasantly off-the-cuff & naturalistic.
One thing I'd enjoy seeing is a continuation of the scribbly, as with the logo. The scratchboard feel of the logo & character would be interesting if carried over into the coloring. I rather like smudged & rough artwork; it's something I'm not terribly good at, although I admire it a great deal. Can't pull if off myself.
One nudge I'll give you: try out a number of different settings & scenarios for a while. Play around, see where you go.
