A Brief 'Hullo' from a Scared Wee Virgin

Post by Leisure Butcher »

Time to waggle my lovlies....
Me nom de plum's Leisure. I'm a novice to Keenspace, and webcomics in general.
If you're interested, a comic I'm collaborating on is located at http://peeps.keenspace.com. The hope is that we can generate enough interest, over time, to apply for Keenspot; the final destination is publishing, natch. The early instalments of Peeps on the Skreet are rough, but we've got at least five months worth of material uploaded as of now, on a five-day update schedule, so eventually a coherent style emerges. Peeps has been serialized in a weekly mag here in Richmond called Punchline: http://www.punchlinemag.com
<leisure reviews his brash self-promotion, gags, then barges on>
Another strip, solely myself, is located at http://www.clockwatching.net/~leisure. It's been going one full month, on a more-or-less daily update. Previous weeks' series are accessible by the numbers in the upper-right-hand corner.
I know I'm asking for complete strangers to either fellate me ego or knock me on my mush, but.... I suppose that's what this forum's for.
Play safe, kids.
Love, Leisure

Well, you certainly know how to draw. Liked the "login" cartoon, but I have to admit that the adventures of a deranged chimney sweep do not entice me to read "peeps" further. Maybe when this "coherent style" comes around, we'll see.

Also, generally it's a good thing to leave your plans for world domination out of your introductory post.

All in all, it seems like your comic may have what it takes to catch on around here, the most obvious asset of course being the fact that it's almost completely unlike mine.
Of course, I'm the one that isn't JP Sloan or Jim North.

Sorry about playing global dominatrix my first time out.... <face flushes, siphoning round the u-bend> Suppose I'm entirely too eager.
My site's pretty much dedicated to whatever gibbering I can manage on a given day.... Today's instalment's on No News isn't as much a comic as a non-sequiter notion.
Re- Peeps: The chimney-sweep routine lasts only four instalments, thankfully. Donny shifts from job to job for a bit, seeking out the perfect, profitable antiquated profession.
To qualify my opening dribble, style in both story<?> & illustration settles down around the ninth strip.
Peeps was our introduction to strip format. It took weeks before we weaned off the comic-book influence, which is what I & Nevada have been doing these past four years. Nothing loses money & makes enemies like self-publishing....
My thanks for the praise & the shaming. Honestly, it's much appreciated.

Marriage? Can we go out for a malted instead?
