(Aside: Actually, there's a storyline entitled "Saundra's Parents", Andrick. I was hoping to kick up some poly dust.)

Then you need a Poly Duster (tm). :grins and runs away quickly:

:Walks back warily: One good/great book on Polyamory is _The Ethical Slut_ by Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt. ISBN:1-890159-01-8. Recommended.

I've been part of a poly chain: My then-boyfriend Ethan, my self, my long-term boyfriend Kevyn and his then-boyfriend John. Unfortunately, it was long distance for everyone.

So if Saundra has polyamorous parents, I'm guessing that they form a hetero chain (m-f-m-f), rather than a bi web. Otherwise, by now, we would have heard Saundra say something like "This reminds me of home."

Actually, DB, I was entertained by the post, but I couldn't figure out how to respond without revealing storyline.

But note:

Even I haven't decided whether we've met all of Saundra's parents yet, and if she does have an extra parent or two waiting in the wings, I haven't even decided on a gender, let alone a species.

I also liked the post; I'd already thought about picking up a copy of The Ethical Slut,

Thanks for the rec.

But given my life The Celibate Slut might be more fitting. *sigh*

So I didn't have much to say.

Also the Keen Forums have come up and gone down again more often this weekend than Volair... with a yo-yo.

drat, they did it again while I was sending this the first time.

Well, I was going to, but under the new Forum software, only the Moderator can delete a topic.

And apologies if I reacted a little quickly. I haven't had any problem with the KeenSPACE forum for the last week. KeenSPOT, on the other hand, is so bad that a couple of the artists have set up alternate forums on EZBoard.

And, I had a rotten week last week. Shouldn't take it out on all of you, though.

No problem, DB!

..

Wow, this Analog Systems class has got me all messed up. Every time I abbreviate the DetailBear's name, I start thinking of open-loop gain and logarithmic graphs.

And, For "The Celibate Slut" and "The forum's been down more often this weekend than Volair ... with a yo-yo", I hearby nominate Hampster for tongueslinger of the year.

And don't worry about being a Celibate Slut. I was one all through high school!

You're welcome. My BF Kevyn gave me my copy.

Peterborough is driving distance from London. Toronto is even closer. That's if you've favourably resolved which side(s) of the fence you sit on. :veg:

But only once unless somebody takes me out for dinner and a movie first.

yeah, the annoying thing is that I've finished highschool, college, and am officially in the rat race. ::double sigh::

Must-go-back-to-school.

tho, I have no idea what I'd take, I only ended up an AME because it was the only program that accepted me.

That is a matter for another day, (stupid rat race), Readers Digest version. Ended up just friendly-ly in bed with a female friend, and it was lotsa fun, but...

Then on my last NYC trip was snogging with this gorgeous guy, and yeah, I would've gone down on him in 2 seconds given the chance.

sadly...

I don't know, maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic.

As for myself, I'm not sitting on either side of the fence nor on it...I'm climbing up one side, hopefully to reach the top and see all.

BWA HA HA! Now, my minions! Let us take the world by storm and create sitcoms and other mainstream artworks which finally portray bisexuals as ordinary everyday people instead of lunatics and freaks!

..

It just occurred to me. There AREN'T any bisexuals being portrayed in the mainstream. Damn you, TV, damn you all to hell!!!

Allan, you're going hurt Leonards feelings talking like that.

(though maybe he's glad there are no bisexuals on TV  )

What are the long-term effects of sex on TV?

Remember the BOFH. You're not surfing the web, you're "Monitoring the company's internet connection" (good for sysadmin type people) or prehaps a better alternative "Conducting a high-level examination of the HTTP protocol".

Which is better, sex or staring at static on a TV screen until your eyes burn out?

Did you download that 2 video, the "Squick and Shivver"?

It seems oddly appropriate, all of a sudden...
