You want me to try again? Really?

I'll have to think extra, SPECIALLY hard on what to try next time...

Guess I might as well add my story to the list.

When I came out to my mom, the entire set-up was pretty much the typical coming out scene. I stuttered for a little while, then spat it out, my mom picked up a deer-in-headlights expression for about ten seconds, then told me she loved me and didn't care who I dated. It wasn't anything unexpected or unusual.

My dad was another story completely. Since I can't always read him as well as Mom, I tried to prod him gently onto the topic. The ensuing conversation went a little like this.

Me: Hey, Dad, care to watch some TV?

Dad: Don't know why not. What's on?

M: Will and Grace comes on in a couple minutes.

D: You watch that?

M: Yeah. Why not?

D: I don't want you to ever watch that show again. I know you mean well, but it isn't right to think about that type of thing.

M: Oh... okay. I have homework anyway.

Still haven't come out to him yet, and from appearances, I never will.

Thanks. I really do appreciate it. :)
Wow, I feel just like Jennifer Reitz.
Um... who?
