I took it upon myself, today, to reread the archives, and came upon this strip:
http://jackiesfridge.keenspace.com/d/20001213.html
Now, unless I missed it, BJ never did tell us about the whole controversy that sprang up from the April 1st issue.
So, with April drawing close again... BJ? ^^

I think if you check out the corresponding strips on the JoBeth and Tonja Steele sites, you get the whole story.

Akchally, I think he meant the story about the controversy of the university pulling the paper out of distribution because it apparently offended someone.

Or SOMEONE pulling it, anyway.

Stoopid university. Stoopid SOMEONE.

*Hands over a piece of the excellent chocolate pie he had last night*
Over-analyze events in a comic? Isn't that an oxymoron?

Yup, that's what I meant. Sounds rather like a similar problem to the paper that Absurd Notions used to be in:

Scroll down to the sixth strip, and its corresponding explanation.
