How I discovered the fridge: Sitting next to John Troutman in Drawing class I overlooked some top-secret information involving Jackie's Fridge and liked the art style, so I read the archives. *clears throat* I thought we might get back on topic...
Anyway, I'm a long-time Keenspotter (read: about six months) who is deadly afraid of the mass of Keenspace comics available. There's far too many to actually sort through and find ones that I like...anyway, there's a bit of a story behind my discovery of JB.net...
I'm a rabid fan of CRFH!!! and have been building up my post count there fore a while. I also spend a lot of time at #crfh and #mrfh (on irc.nightstar.net). During one of the conversations being held there, Maritza Campos (author of CRFH) mentioned various events in the Keenspot community. The topic came up of a secret message board for the moderators of Keenspot where they could discuss who gets 'Spotted next. I suggested that we just start typing random URLs in on the Keenspot main page, in hopes of hitting the jackpot (of course, the BB would be protected by a password anyway. Shaddup). Someone misread this as a request for random Keenspace comics (I'm still trying to figure this out). He spouted out a bunch of URLs, including JoBeth.net, which I dutifully checked out about one week ago. Finished the archives in about three hours (I'm very good at that kind of thing), and now I'm waiting for more comics...well? Where are they?
Pardon my rambling...carry on.
------------------

No, I can't speak for Tonja Steele. I have enough to worry about without Mindy beating me senseless with Nerf things.
And I'm talking Nerf things with nails and glass shards embedded in them.
------------------

Actually, I just found the page because Shannon plugged it on a high school alumni search page.
I usually have a great aversion to anything high school or alumni related, but a friend of mine has been harassing me for months to check it out...and lo and behold, there was Shannon! Which led me to jobeth.net.
I really like Jackie's Fridge and just finished reading the archives. Whopping difference from the (also good) art that I saw soooo long ago in Wax Rhapsodic. I can easily recognize your distinctive style in Jackie's Fridge though, 'BJ'.
Lookin' good! I was reading the discussion about the 1996 strips versus current, and I just realized that I could probably wade through my closet, dust off some boxes from high school and dig out some sketches and stuff from 1989/90. Now *there's* a trip down memory lane! Betcha I just made you feel really old right now.
Hey guys, remember me? I'll bet you do!

*siiigh* I was hoping to avoid any high school alumni anything. But I'm glad you dug me up--in no small part because I lost your email addy the week after I saw you last and have suffered tremendous guilt as a result. I'm such a putz.
So I'm glad you dug me up!
To cover a couple more random topics: I always feel old, but I never act my age, and I do plan on digging up ALL my high school work and putting it on the site so y'all can laugh at it. I mean, it's not fair to keep the giggles to myself, is it?
And Jamie--you're gonna get it when you get back. Yes sir, you certainly are. Why, I'll probably write at you really really threateningly, maybe even in ALL CAPS. How'd ya like THEM apples? <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/tongue. ... ohh....I'm tired......
------------------

I've always wondered why that submission CGI was "secret". If you send 'em an e-mail, they just point you there anyway. You'd think they link it sometime.
------------------

Well, you know, it's all Shannon's fault for shamelessly plugging--errrr promoting your website. So you'll have to blame him for dragging you into the world of alumni searching!
I leave tomorrow, so I may try to email you later tonight, seeing how you keep *losing* my email, conveniently I might add.
