Lily's figure seems to be good for Ben's. Or at least their relationship in general seems to be a definite positive factor in his figure. He just needed a booster shot. Remember what got him started on this diet anyway? To jog memories: loves Lily, might maybe marry her, marry -> sex -> she sees him naked, ergo motivation (including through nausea). I have heard a general and loose theory in a book on morality that suggests that one good rule of thumb for not getting sucked down the slippery slopr to the fornication common in our time is that the amount of intimacy in a relationship should never exceed the level of commitment to that relationship. Thus whereas I might normally have doubts about a this sort of motivation I think that here there is no problem.
P.S. I know my logic is not tight on the second half, but you get the general idea.

Good evening.
Hmmm...looks like Lily isn't so chaste after all, despite her comments on that nearly-falling-out-the-top thing.
I know she has Ben's health at heart, but here we could see another part of Ben's nobility surface.
He loses exactly 49.9 lb by July fourth (or he loses 50.5, and he eats and eats to bring it back up to 49.9) so Lily will see he's not hormone ridden?
Until next time, remember:
I AM THE J.A.M.

Good evening.
Oh, good, it did post. My computer crashed the moment I pressed Submit.
Another thing would be if Ben loses 51+ pounds, and tells Lily she doesn't have to use the bikini, but the one-piece.
Hey, has anyone considered that maybe Lily may not be able to put it on at all (how do we know she won't put on a few pounds this year?)?

At the risk of stating the obvious, is this a RL motivation for Ralph to lose the same weight so he can draw her like that?On 2002-03-24 06:47, DracoDei wrote:

In real life, Ralph could draw her any way he might choose to draw her, though I don't think he'd choose to get weird about it.
Still, he's trying to do a difficult thing and if this helps, I'm all for it!
Just keep it up, every day.
Sensible diet, excercise...
It all sounds so blinkin' easy, donnit?
(Oooh - he said donut..)
No! Back! Back, I say!!

Methinks we have the makings of a KILLER weight-loss program.
And chastity and modesty are not the same things, BTW. Chastity is unchanging (don't have sex with anyone but your husband or wife). Modesty changes CONSTANTLY! C. S. Lewis put it better, but that's about the gist of it.

Actually, no. One may not exchange or return bathing suits, at least at stores. Health reasons. One may be able to do it with some catalogue companies, though. On 2002-03-24 16:55, David Adrian wrote:
This is why clothing stores allow the exchange of such items for "identical" ones in larger sizes...
