Oh, I forgot to mention it, but I knew about it. I think Bugs' tendancy to go into drag at the drop of the hat encouraged me early on to adopt a gender-neutral position on life.

You know how they say that the initial hostility that girls and boys show each other before puberty is crucial to the development of sexuality later, as the "enemy" becomes attractive and mysterious? Well, guess who played "double agent" in the boy vs. girl wars straight up to the fifth grade?

Wait a second, didn't Elmer go in drag as well? "What's Opera Doc?" Elmer was wearing a white bridal gown and married Bugs whom was resplendent in a tux?

Elmer and Sam both appeared in drag on a couple of occasions...

Yet more evidence to support Monkey Angst's supposition.

Andrick, now my world view is shattered. Well, maybe not... ok, I always kind of suspected those. Snaggle Puss though? Geesh! Exit! Stage-right even...

Bugs, yes, definitely. Velma, yes. Smithers, Akbar and Jeff are not closeted.
Peppermint Patty, sure. But Shaggy and Scooby are not gay. Nor are they straight. They have achieved the sort of asexuality that besets the chronic marijuana smoker after a while. All they want to do is sit in the back of the van and get high and eat.

BTW, Anyone catch the "Harvey Birdman" episode where he takes the child custody case between Dr. Benton Quest and Race Bannon? I don't have cable...

Just trying to resurrect this thread with a new addition:

Tigger!

Male interest: Rabbit, obviously. The two are just Sooo odd couple.

Female interest: Kanga. I had my suspicions of Roo being Tigger's son before, but the Tigger movie absoloutely confirmed it. Roo can do the superduperaliuper bounce because he is HALF TIGGER.

"Consider yourself bounced, Bunny boy."
"Tigger, there are CHILDREN present."
