How do I update?

I finally got my ftp working, but now my site won't update. I've gone to my maintenence page and hit every kind of "update" there is without any luck. Plus my comic seems to be going backward, now stuck on Saturday's comic.Mike------------------

Make sure your comics are dated properly, as in 20010115.jpg (be careful with putting too many zeroes, for example). FTP them into workspace/comics directory AND NOWHERE ELSE.When you hit the update, does it say how many are in the queue? Expect an average of five minutes per person. Also, when you check your page for updates, be sure to refresh, or it may be displaying from cache.If none of this helps, come on back and we'll try some other tips!------------------

Yeah, I tried all that and it still won't update. I notice that it stopped updating at teh same time that I figured out how to use smartftp. Could it be that I somehow "Disconnected" it or something? Do I need to somehow put my ftp back on-line or something?Mike------------------

That shouldn't cause a problem.
In your public_html/ is there a shortcut called indextemplate.html and one in d/ called template.html? They'll be in the directory tree on the left-hand side. If you've deleted either of those, you'll have to get Admin to fix it.------------------

Okay, I seem to have gotten it updating again, except that now my ***tags*** won't show. Strange. Any idea what this means?Mike------------------

As far as I tell, that means you've got it right. You're not supposed to see the tags as AutoKeen replaces them with the appropriate code that browers need to see.Oh, and your comic isn't half-bad either. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">------------------

Thanks. Yours is pretty good, too. I'm going to guess that it's pronounced "Meek."I can update now, but the automatic update function comic seems to be stalled. Apparently, now it only updates if I reload the index.html into my public folder everyday.Maybe I should just conact admin and save everyone a lot of time...------------------

Contacting <a href="mailto:keenspace@keenspace.com">Admin</a> is probably your best idea. Let us know what the fix is, if it's one we can sort out we can tell the next guy with similar problems, if not we can direct them straight to the big guys.------------------

Whew... thanks... <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> I was about to crack. Ok... I now have gotten my index page to update ONCE. I've gone through the update procedures many times.If you'll look at my index page, it's got the standard comic, and some text underneith (the news, actually). Well, upon looking over the page online, I re-wrote the text and changed the link color because it was too hard to read. So, I redid the index.html file. Well, I've uploaded the index.html file a couple of times now, and I've told the server to update my page, but the index.html file just wont update.Also, none of my archive pages work. Any ideas?
