Could be, but generally every traveller from the future in comics turns out to be in some way related to the people they run into. Why is everyone so bent on the idea that the General is or is directly related to a FAN? I mean, there IS quasi-intelligent life outside the college. (Yeah, hard to believe, considering we're still trying to find intelligent life IN college ...) How do we know that she's not an outside force about to be pulled into the FANiverse?

There's a durn good reason for that. . . If they weren't related (as in actually related, or directly involved with in some devious way) then they could just play willy-nilly with their lives and not worry about future ramifications to themselves. Then where would our pathos- our conflict- our story be?
Anyway, while I still vote firmly for Alterna-Alisin as General, I don't mind the idea of someone entirely new and yet about to be revealed to be connected intimately with our Faans in some way even THEY may not yet know about.

Maybe it's the new shots of the general but I don't know why it took so long for this to click. On 2002-03-06 20:43, Nabiki_neumann wrote:

Alisin could be the general. In order to survive the Extract given to her could've been from the god of hormonal cattle enhancements!
*giggle*
Oh, another thought that hasn't been brought up yet. How do we know which earth and when the General and her gentles (sounds like a 70s R&B group) are currently orbiting. They could be above a previous a/u right when the Xenochicklets first arrived.
