http://pornography.keenspace.com

i uploaded about a 25 strips, each named
20020301.gif
20020302.gif
etc.

and instead of it doing one at a time.
using the right one for the right date,
-all- of them have been put up at once.

what can i do to fix this?

also,

i have a graphic in the images directory
that isn't showing on the index page,
and i have no clue how to fix that either.

according the examples and following the
faq i read, this all should have worked, so
i'm floundering now.. please help!

thanks!

you're right! arrrgh.. i'm an idiot :^P

so, okay... i went through and renamed the files correctly and reuploaded them to the workspace directory for comics.

now.. how do i delete all the previous 2001* strips?

when i look in the /workspace/comics directory, they aren't there.. and i can't open the /public_html/comics directory to check there since it just hangs my FTP program...

thanks!

Go into the d section in your ftp server and erase the files from that section. This is the archive section on the ftp server. Also it's not smart to upload the comics to the server in bulk. I did that once and got all the comics I uploaded put on my website at once, and I had the right dates on them.

Okay.. still having issues..

I've taken down all the misnamed files.
Replaced them with the proper set of strips.
However..

Now, the site still refers to the old, misnamed strips when you click on "First"
comic.. instead of going to the right one.

So you get a bunch of broken pages :^(

halp!

and also.. i have an image splash.gif in the
images directory, that should be showing on the index page.. and well, it doesn't.

any ideas?

thanks again!

Move ALL the images back to /comics in workspace, delete everything from /d and then tell autokeen to redo everything.

<font color=orange><b><u>/!</u></b> Caution! <b><u>/!</u></b></font>

Unless the've gone and changed the system, there's a link/file/folder (how it appears depends on your FTP program) in /d/ called <b>template.html</b> that's required for the creation of your archive pages.

Do <u>not</u> delete it.

First try moving all your comics back to /workspace/comics/ and running a full update. If that fails, only then try deleting the /d/YYYYMMDD.html pages.
