What's with my ftp and these forums?

I downloaded new ftp stuff from Smartftp and tried to get into my ftp site but all I got was a blank page with the message FTP root at fantasticalbestiary.keenspace.com. And there wasn't any login command under the file folder. What should I do?Plus everytime I go to post here I get a message telling me that no user with my name exists. This is the third time I've had to reregister with a different name. (I'm also redmenace and mantisinlace)Thanks.------------------

In Smart FTP, go to ftp.keenspace.com using your username for the login and the your password for the password. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">As for the forums, you've got me stumped.------------------

Thanks, but the problem is that there isn't any login command. When I try to get to my ftp site, and I go to my file button, there isn't any login feature listed.Could this be because I'm using a different computer than the one that I originally used when I signed up for keenspace? I signed up over winter break when I was visiting my parents in Washington DC, but now I've come back to school in LA. I've tried logging in on four different computers (2 macs and 2 PCs, all of which supposedly have ftp capabilities) and gotten the same result. Meanwhile, my brother, who lives at home, has been able to successfully login. If this is the problem, is there any way that I ould fix it so that I could login from any computer?And this is now the fourth time I've had to reregister. Is my info just erased every time I turn off the computer or something?------------------

'Some restricions apply' means you can't do anything, it won't even acknowledge that the /home/space/ directory is there. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">
Are you saying there's nothing that looks like this in Smart FTP?

I don't have anything like that under toolbar, but maybe I'm doing something wrong with FTP. I downloaded smartftp and it said that it automatically installed itself. Then I tried opening netscape explorer and going to my ftp site but I just got that 'access restrictions' message. Is there something else I ought to be doing with smartftp first? There's probably a really simple explanation that I'm just too computer illiterate to see. Thanks!------------------

Wait, you're using NetScape to try and access your FTP? Smart FTP isn't a plugin, but a program in it's own right.
you can run it from Start >Programs >SmartFTP >SmartFTP, or a shortcut to the smartFTP.exe.As for the forums, it was probably a glitch in the system. It happens from time to time.------------------
