Thought this old chestnut might raise a smile or two. I'll begin. Mine was PJ and Duncan's "Our Radio Rocks". Quite. But my next one was "Roll With It" by Oasis, which was just a tad more credible. And if you really wanna be nostalgic, I bought them both in what was John Menzies in Brentwood Precinct! Shame it's now a "cheapie" shop. Run by smelly Asians. Errrr, anyway.......

Mine was Shakermaker by Oasis, and it came from the V-shop formly known as Our Price. Incidently the first ever album i bought was Rage Against The Machine, also from Our Price.

I remember it well my first single was much more credible... "Breakfast At Tiffanys - Deep Blue Something" I saw it on Top of The Pops, I bought it in Our Price. Dear God I'm mainstream.

I seriously can't remember what the first single I bought was- whatever it was it would have been some pop shite, as I had exceptionaly poor taste before the age of 12. So I'll try with the 1st album I can remember buying which was Bjork's debut.

So far, Mackin takes the lead with most credible purchase with Bjork.
And "Shakermaker" contains possbly my favourite Oasis line ever: "Mr. Sifter sold me songs when I was just 16. Now her stops at traffic lights, but only when there green"
Genius!! Anyway, carry on!!

While we're on the topic of singles - is anyone else finding it damn near impossible to get that 'because I got high' song out of their head?<p>[This message has been edited by Mackin (edited 10-14-2001).]

Why is it that everyone remembers the first single they got but never the first movie they went to see... well? The first movie I saw of my own complete free will was Apollo 13
