Ordinary Guy, I do not consider myself thin-skinned by any means...in fact, I start and participate in flame wars regularly in my usual internet haunts and I have been called more names than a drunken sailor has in his vocabulary. I can take a LOT of shit from people, but this letter is what I consider to be the straw that broke the camel's back. Now if I hadn't been recieving any kind of guff from anyone up until I got that, I would have written it off as "yes, this guy's a dickhead, I don't care." but it was the fact that I had been being bugged on AIM consistantly for about two weeks prior and primed past annoyance by Dave's fanboys demanding that I give up the computer and put Dave online for them to talk to (I don't think its anybody here...I hope not at least) and more or less telling me that because they liked Jack, it was my duty to drop everything I was doing and humor their whims, that I blew up like I did about this letter.If you think I cried about it, you're mistaken. I DID rant angrily about it for about a half hour (if you can imagine me cussing and yelling in the background, oblivious to the fact that Dave was writing the first post to this thread at the time) and then I dropped it and let dead bastards bloat in the sun. Because that is what the person who wrote me the letter is. A bastard. And I don't have time to let bastards get in the way of my life....and so, I've stuck up a filter against every domain from evilemail.com that is listed, and I think that will take care of future "love letters". Anyway....thank you all who support me and David. I've never seen anything like this. Granted some of his characters are portrayed in a more lighthearted manner in some pics I've seen, but never really mocked. Okay, the chibi one maybe, but that was funny and good natured, and on the official site to boot.

I'm kinda surprised you guys got so angry over that letter. I don't condone it, but it wasn't really offensive... just silly. I never took any of Kate's art seriously, I always took it as friendly teasing. oh well, the onlything to do now is for Dave is to turn that person into a "disposible" character (make it one of those animals that no one likes, that holds bad symbolism and steroytypes) and uh..slaughter the character....*shrugs*
