A: Given the response to that PVP jab, no.
Q: Is it a bad thing that EvilCon is more closely modled after my own experience with University Job Fairs than after sci-fi/furry conventions, or does the offbeat, tech-fair-except-eviler flavor satisfy?

A: *blink, blink* What on God's green earth are you talking about? From what little of EvilCon you've shown, I've seen nothing to infer that a convention is going on at all. Everything that happened so far I just assumed was in the hotel hallways as random encounters. No seminars, no booths, no bulletin boards, no PA announcements, no slackers attempting to sleep in the conference rooms, no overpriced food, no hawkers, no booth babes... where's the convention? I guess the answer is "no" to your question.
Q: Do you think that was too harsh?

A: -reads back through the strips-
Awww, Jeez. I didn't do an establishing shot! MAN I suck.
So, no, I guess that wasn't too harsh at all. Although you should've been tipped off by the parking strip and Jake's quip about it being "some convention".
Luckily, there ARE establishing sots in this series, so you will get to see some real atmosphere soon.
Q: How shall I make amends?

A: ... I'm not going to touch that with a 10' pole.
A (Question two posts back): Forget establishing shots. How about some backgrounds? Clutter in the backfield, cameos of evil masterminds and googaws of science gone wrong can do much to make the convention seem "real". Take a look at what Eric has done to do the same thing here in his own comic. Even though he did do an establishing shot for an earlier convention in a previous story arc. Both conventions in his story had lotsa people to fill in the background, mostly non-descript but a few characters were filled out. C'mon, you've been to cons. They're noisy, crowded and people are busy looking for ideas or trying to drown out others in selling theirs to the densest population of prospective takers they'll see in a year's time or longer.
Q: Is there any relation to EvilCon '00?

A: No. She's Volair's partner... er, co-worker. So the next time the spy stuff came up, we'd see her!
Q: I know I let myself go a bit around you guys (hey, I feel comfy on this forum), but do the other posters really think I'm a sicko?

I cant say that things will be better if we change; what I can say is that we must change for them to get better

A) Depends on who you're using for reference purposes. I'm sure if you try hard enough you can find a reference point which makes your musings look completely innocent by comparison

It's not that I'm apathetic, it's that I'm ..... um .... OK, it's that I'm apathetic.
