*sigh*
Innocence, true innocence, is something awesome. I think that, for a Christian, it IS possible to be innocent, without being naieve. We are supposed to be "innocent as doves, but as wise as serpents." It's easier to avoid danger if you know it's there, but knowing it's there doesn't mean it has overcome you.
Just a thought!

the weezer concert was so fricken cool!!!
Jimmy Eat World opened up first, they were really good.
Then Tanacious D came on, they were funny, but not the best.
Then weezer. We all put our "w" fingers in the air, and shouted and screamed. i was jumping up and down. they played a new song first. one of River's guitars sounded REALLY bad, but it was still great, and he is so FU....i mean FREAKING AWESOME at playing lead!!!!! i'm so not kidding! He changed ALL the lead solos from the Green Album, and did a mellower rendition of "dont let go" which sounded great!
Then the lights went out after they played "only in dreams" and i figured that was the last song, since it was long and it was slow.
We wanted an encore, so we shouted "WEEZER, WEEZER!...." and clapped and stomped and jumped around, and when we saw a stage tech running in the dark on the stage, people would think it was them and cheer.
But then after about 5 minutes, we saw them come back on. and i saw something being lifted up, and a HUGE =w= sign was in the air, and it lighted, and strobes went crazy!!!!! And they ended with Buddy Holly, and then finally Surf Wax America. i didnt want to skank, cos i felt sorta dumb, but i was jumping around, and playing airguitar, and hopping on my feet, putting up my "w" fingers ,,| |/| |,, screaming and singing my heart out with all the passion i could muster. (could barely talk today, and sing in choir). and some girl and guy standing behind me were laughing at me, but i didnt care. my mom kept looking at me to see what i was doing. and i cried a few times, becos i was just SO in awe. i have to do that when i'm older....i HAVE to be a rockstar!!!!
their new songs kicked arse! i cant wait for the new album to come out already!
oh yeah, and it was general admission, so we could sit or stand anywhere we wanted, and this was an ice hockey arena, we were the first row of chairs from the floor, so the view was GREAT! the arena was small enough, that no matter where you were, you were close enough to see. i wanted to go up front, but i got scared, becos people were getting smashed.
rivers was REALLY quiet though, and doesnt interact with the crowd, he barely said anything. but for what he lacked, Tenacious D made for (hey! who's that chick in the shirt? she's getting smashed. ALL YOU GUYS GET AWAY FROM HER NOW! someone get her a back stage pass!)
and my mom bought me a tshirt, with an AWESOME photo on it, it was the shirt of the night cos everyone was buying it. though i wish i could have gotten an autograph cd, but they were 20 bucks each. i'm happy with my shirt.
we got home around midnight, cos it took FOREVER to get out of there, so my mom just drove up the tiny hill and bumped down the curb into the mcdonalds parking lot like everyone else was, and we got on the highway. man it was so awesome. i'll never forget. it seems so unreal!!! man oh man!
