Hey Quatro, your heading graphic had me laughing my a$$ off! I look for extra artwork, like fan art, sketches, you get the idea. I like to see what other styles the artist can draw in, and the kind of art they've recieved from others (although, I've been known to stare at one piece of art for hours...)
oh yeah, and i hate michael bolton too!

nooh, please don't do that. We all know this is a badly designed message base and there's no need to continue proving it and I'd rather not have to ban anyone for abuse. Thanks.
------------------

I just wanted to know what you guys sort of look for in a webpage. I mean, I assume you guys go there to read the comic, but do you look for other things? I just want to know how many of you guys read/look for:
1) an Artist's rant or comments
2) if they have items to buy online (shirts, mugs, etc)
3) they have downloadables and extra pics
4) if the artists has other non-comic related art
The reason I ask this is because I'm putting (or am going to be putting) all that stuff on my page sooner or later, and I want to know if I'm going to be wasting my time if only a small percent of my vistors bother checking out my stuff.
Also for those that do have similar stuff on their page, do you find lots of people like checking out that stuff?
Lastly, if most people DO like to see all that stuff, I think I'm already gonna have to change my layout to make better use of my space.
Quattro
------------------

I like comic sites with lots of other stuff, cast pages, news, side projects, etc. My comic has all of that stuff and then some. Sure most people probably don't read it, but it's good for those that do.
------------------

Well I hate everyone who's ever lived and everyone alive today, and the entire known universe, and all the unknown bits too. Personally I will welcome my death. But I'll probably end up hating it after a while.
On the subject of web pages, do you read 'cast' pages? Cos I was thinking of getting one.
------------------

Definatly not the type of conversation I had in mind. Mind you thanks for your honest input e.
As for Yhatzee, I have a cast page, but now that I think about it, it probably isn't that necissary. Depends what you do with it I guess.
Quattro
------------------

Thats basically it, people ussually tend to go to comic sites for comics. If they like your comic, they'll probably like you and so they'll start lookin at the rest of your stuff... (Sometimes)
For me personally, sometimes I just look at the comic and maybe the link section (If I like the comic)
I tend to ignore Long rants and "WHat I did yesterday" narratives. I guess if you have some really devoted fans they'll like to hear that stuff. But they'll just be wasted on a pedestrian like me.

I'll have to agree with in with those LONG rants. I mean, sometimes they're really good, but they do go on for too long. I'm still trying to think if I'll do rants with every comic, or just when I have something that I feel like ranting about.
And thanks Lady for your comments
I plan to have a different graphic with every comic I put up.
Quattro
------------------

A clear layout is good. A few links to relevant sights and short rants or opinions. Maybe advice on how to build pages. Ezboard message boards are attractive and a lot of people use them.
Bravenet are good, they give you content like chat rooms and search engines and so on that you can include and customize on your site. I took one of their search engines and incorporated it into my site: http://kippa.freeservers.com/Arch.html
------------------
