Query: I had one on Angelfire as a test that I put in my archives but does that make me an interloper? I hope not.
------------------

Um, I started my strip almost a month before I got onto the Space..... but I applied for space as soon as I found out about KeenSpace! I guess I'm not an "all space" comic.
But I CAN tell you about the horrors of manual updating! WOO HOO!
------------------

Well, originally my comics appeared on the skin of my victim's bodies, but for archving purposes, I decided to move to the Space.
Did Lee (Chopping Block) ever get the tongue I sent him?

Did you start out on the Space? If so, say ay!! I'm just curious to know how many of us actually started on Keenspace instead of on an outside site or before Keenspace started.
Anyway: Mab of Blotto Street starting the ball rolling here:
Aye! Schlock Mercenary began in February, 2000, before there was a KeenSpace, but it was all just paper. I put together a month's worth of strips and submitted them to the major syndicates, and then waited on the almost certain rejection letters before taking the strip online. I started putting it online myself in early July, hated manual updating and so I never got around to publicizing the site (and never put more than two weeks or so of strips up). Two weeks later I signed up for the 'space.
When Schlock went "live" at KeenSpace I immediately posted a month's worth of strips, back-dating to June 12th. It was kind of an arbitrarily-chosen date... it gave me a month's worth of daily archives, and dropped the new readers in August on a plotline that I thought was reasonably interesting.
I sure FEEL like an original 'spacer. I didn't start cranking out strips daily until I had the AutoKeen system doing my updates for me.
--Howard
