keenspace/spot question

So how often does the white smoke appear? Or is the room just really dirty and we all have no chance?

Legitimately, there are four or five comics that most people on Keenspace already believe should go to Keenspot. There have been several discussions about which ones on the "General Discussion" board. Under the excuse of ignorance, I'm not sure which should REALLY go other than that I've liked most of those that I've read.In theory any webcomic on the web as an equal chance as any other based upon whatever criteria is being used, so even the favorites may not get picked (again.) It's really something I feel isn't worth worrying about unless your comic is doing really well either in quality andor popularity. Also, if other cartoonists start to toss your name around as a candidate than you know that you have respect and so on... Of course, I feel it isn't worth worrying about because I'm not a naturally talented artist (on the drawing end) and there are definitely more deserving comics than me. And, yeah, I'm way off base on all the factual stuff in case I accidentally insulted someone.------------------

Yah.I think the way you get into keenspot is you hang from a tree in front of whoever started keenspace,shout kalooh-kalah at the sun,put on a squirrel costume,do any stupid dance,make it into a mpeg file,put it on your site,make a keenspace comic based on it and have it voted yes when the BIG COUNCIL O KEENSPACE GUYS bring it on the agenda after,oh uhhhhhhh......Three years.Then......
YOU HAVE TO ENDURE THE EVIL OF HAVING A KEENSPACE WEBSITE CHANGING TO KEENSPOT WEBSITE.DADADUN.Hey.You know,if there are any keenspace sites that deserve to be on keenspot,it's all of keensmut.They SICKEN me!.......Cool,eh?Anyway,KEENSMUT MUST BE ON KEENSPOT!Unless they don't want to.But my comic is the least deserving about the hellish process of have ing a keenspot site.
Or bribes.Or hookers.
Or death threats.
Oh,and does anyone know why I'm not shown as moderator even though I have a comic here and why I don't have a forum and I signed for one two days ago?------------------

I obviously know the difference between keenspace and spot, but how often do strips get added to keenspot? I've seen plenty of space strips that have been better than spot strips. Do they still add to the roster on occasion or are they set in stone now? Just curious!

It's a secretive process. As I understand it, certain people (esp. the KeenSpot owners) gather together in a small room and have the names of certain comics they like. If the comic is voted down, black smoke appears from the chimney. If it's approved white smoke starts to billow and everyone yells "Il Papi! Il papi!" Or something.------------------

From what I can tell off of the normal <A HREF="http://www.keenspace.com" TARGET=_blank>www.keenspace.com</A> and <A HREF="http://www.keenspot.com" TARGET=_blank>www.keenspot.com</A> info, KeenSpace comics that become too popular over time and keep going over the ad banner threshold get paid. I belive they would move the comic over to KeenSpot, which is the "comics so popular we're making a killing off the banner ads" part of KeenSpot Entertainment.I can't wait until then....------------------
