Hmmm.... Satan and talking beverages, and a 15-to-2.5 man-to-woman ratio, the half female being a ghost and one of the others is a talking animal. Interesting potential.Anyway, contrary to what I said on the main discussion thread, I'm not real particular about how my characters behave. I know Davos has some limits to his, which is fine.I've been looking through some of the other group threads, and there seem to be some good ideas in them (Oh, what we could have done with Butch!). But we can (& should) come up with our own here. So. Any comments on format, strips vs scenes, etc? A crossover story a la Fright Night? A common setting for the party? If you've got something to say, shout it out.Group 5: We've got Satan on our side!BTW, I'm the wrangler, but I'll hold off making any demands until later in the month. Right now I've got some archives to wade through.------------------

Well I'll help start the ball rolling:
What is this party anyways? Are all our characters friends, or do they just sorta end up together? That would actually be sorta interesting, we could all tell our seperate stories about how our characters meet up and get to the party and then we can do some jam scenes with everyone. Just a little idea.
-Where is this party? Are we a part of the whole keenspace people or we in seperate parties? And if so, wheres a good place to hold it? (My characters own their own apartment, just a surgestion)
- Im gonna say this, and you may or not like it, but we need a plot. Not a huge elaborate one but a plot non the less. I really cant stand things that dont go nowhere. We can have anything, bob threat, serial killer, something cooler....just throw some ideas around.Ok I blabbed on enough. Right now Im in the process of readings everyones comics here, and Im happy to be working with a bunch of talented people.------------------

Dunno. I like the idea of a common setting, though. We could even come up with common events, so that even if our work isn't strictly a crossover story, the same stuff happens in them all.

My original idea was that this party would be sort of after work. You know, everybody has knocked off their jobs at Keenspace and have shown up at the party. I think it would be better if our characters didn't presume to know each other; they're just at a party like everyone else.

See my comments above about a common setting and events. There's a tavern in my strip (The Ram & Noodle (It's a pun, get it? "Ram & Noodle," "Ramen Noodle?" OK, so maybe it's not so funny....)), so that's another choice. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of everybody drawing the same events from different perspectives, although I don't know that would work and we'd need enough to make sure everybody's strip wasn't exactly the same.

My idea is that our characters for some reason or another got lost on the way to the party and all ended up in the same place. One of my character's family is very wealth and lives in a mansion, just one more suggestion on the place.I don't think our characters would be friends with each other but rather most would at least know each other.------------------

THe only problem I have is that I dont like considering my characters as a bunch of toons. My comic isnt a Tiny Toons skit.------------------

Our strips don't exactly mesh all that well. But then we've gotta come up with some semi-plausible reason for our characters to be in the same place at the same time. I gotta think some on this.BTW, I never expected to see "A Quick One While He's Away" quoted anywhere, let alone a comic. Cool.------------------

Like obviously I dont want to have this huge long explanation of universes colliding or what not. I think it would still be cool if there was no explnation, just the characters are all there. Let the audience think of what they want to.And maybe I could sneak the Who in too.

Okay, that's three out of five. Has anyone tried to contact Jack or Davos? I sent 'em an email to see if they're still interested. I appears that some of the groups are breaking down; some people who signed up aren't saying anything. I really hope Jack shows up. We don't have to explain how five anthropomorphic animals are in a room full of humans, and there's no question as to why they're at the party.

Maybe a little bit but not much.I still have a lot of archives to read.------------------

Awright! We've got four out of five, now.How's this for a brief sketch of a scenario:Clynt is having a New Year's Party, originally intended for just people he knows, since I wouldn't exactly call Pete a friend, but then again I don't know his tastes (interesting, Clint, I just realized your main character Ian isn't going to be there). The guys from "Nowhere Man" show up because hey, it's a party, and one of them has a huge Kick addiction and they see Alan backing a truck full of it up to Clynt's door. My characters show up, maybe lookng for directions to someplace else and decide to stay. No one really wants to ask them what the hell they're doing there because no one wants to admit they see giant talking animals. That's when Satan shows up. He's not looking to cause trouble, he's looking to relax because being Satan in today's world is a tough job, and he needs a beer, dammit! Max and AJ arrive looking for "Stan."Whaddaya think? And any of you guys with forums want to host this thread there and get it off the main one?------------------

The characters from "Fight Cast of Evad" were hired to get rid of something not told to them in a castle. They get lost, end up at Clynt's place, see Satan and assume he's the one they're after.I can host this thread too.------------------
