Time for my plug:
ElfLife is assuredly one of the top ten webcomics out there. Carson makes an effortless blend of thoughtful and interesting characters with brilliantly witty humor, throwing in some mad art skills as a bonus. Go read it. Right now.
------------------

I actually went through the Elf Life archives recently after I'd seen enough recommendations on the CRFH!!! forums.
I agree that the current arc is... well, it's not bad, but it feels forced - that may be because I tend to prefer mature content to "adult" content, all else being equal. The older stuff is great, though, and he has a few pages on "how I draw Elf Life" that make for interesting reading. The guy knows what he's doing.
If he gets back to the quality of the work he was doing before the mermaid arc I'll be hooked. Even if he doesn't, I'll check it out. Maybe with practice he'll get as good at dropping gratuitous cheesecake into his strips as Poe is.

I agree that the new storyarc seems a little forced, he's looking for too many excuses to have his R-rater version.
On the plus side, Elf Life has the most developted, imaginative, and neatest goblin race in any fantasy fiction I can think of. The signifance of their mask-wearing rites is innovative and believable.
Oh, there are no shortage of plusses. The characters are vivid, the plots are fun, there's a good balance of humor and upbeat and downbeat scenes, the premise is an interesting twist on the usual (and I agree, the goblins are the best execution I've seen in a while), and the art is great.
I'd just like him to get back to telling the tale he wants to tell, is all.

Carson Fire of ElfLife has noticed that he gets very little traffic from other forums or strips... unlike some other strips, which are frankly nowhere near as good.
Cars has also been a true friend to FANS, spotlighting us as a link for over two months with precious little thanks from me.
So here's MY little contribution:
Go read ElfLife!
Some of the cheesecake in the most recent storyline might be off-putting to first-time readers, but this is one comic that's worth reading from the beginning. It's one of very few that I make a day-by-day habit...

I am an avid reader of Elflife, and while I do not discuss on the forum, I would like to say that the storyline is a very enjoyable one.
So, I too, shall promote this as an avid reader of webcomics all around.
------------------
