Hooray! They pummeled each other!
hooray for witty banter!
I like that we finally get to see Mike as more than just the super strong tentacle today. We see his cunning. That's good.
Pinkerton with a flamethrower however is not good because he'll be shooting everyone.
*sigh*
Ah well, we couldn't expect him to just sit out in the car could we?
------------------

You have to admit that it is a good plan though.
He accidentally stumbles upon a group of mutants, he then manages to become coherant enough to set them against the group he was suppoosed to help break. Then, he waits until they've managed to wear each other down to a point where he thinks he can control the ones left standing with one of Margaret's weapons. Then he can take the Fans to Jones along with an extra group of mutants to be locked away in the unconcious collective.
Granted, this is assuming a lot of Pinkerton's part, but it is an interesting way to look at events.

Only one flaw in Pinkerton's little plan:
Where the heck did that TABLE come from?!!
They're in a college lecture room that has *built-in* desk-tables!!!
THE PODIUM WAS THE *ONLY* PIECE OF LOOSE FURNITURE!!!!
OK, I'm done. ^_^;
------------------

As to the question as to whether or not Mike can judge bullets: depends on how much he's smiling.
No, REALLY....
Mike's smile warps the space-time continuum. My theory is that if he goes to out-and-out SEGrin, he could, in fact, dodge bullets.
*Hmmm... too bad I can't draw. There's an interesting image - Mike as Neo on the rooftop, with Marsha as Trinity...*

More like, he actually has to have a reason to grin, then the forces of nature start reacting.
--Tuscahoma

While I would recoil in utter complete absolute horror, much as one would in seeing some cthonian monstrosity dredged from the abyss, the Forces of Nature are merely that, forces, devoid of emotion or sentience, and as such, can only react. That quantum fluctuation you pick up on the scanners when Mike grins is due to the fractal distortion near spatial singularities. So, the Universe is not screaming; the sound from the scanners just happens to resemble screaming.
--Tuscahoma
