Is there even a question??
Rumy, Kat, and Will are the ONLY three Fans who have shown that they fight hand-to-hand.
THere's no reason whatsoever to believe that Alisin has had the discipline and focus to learn a martial art.
Rumy will hand Alisin her hear, possibly on a silver platter.

Yep, yep, yep. Gotta go with Czhorat here. Rumy takes this one, and takes in quickly. The only advantage that Alisin might have is that she has a longer reach than Rumy, but her disadvantages far outway her advantages: She's untrained, unfocused, has only had experience against a non-resisting target, and is very likely under the influence of alcohol or some other, less mentionable substance.
Let's hear a big Hoody-hoo for Rumy!

*sigh* It's always Alisin and Rumi, Rumi and Alisin. It doesn't matter who wins, half of the fanboy population will be happy.
-Wish

HALF the population?
Wish, you severely underestimate the percentage of the male fan population that enjoys watching two beautiful women fight. Ask any guy who's seen Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Yeoh go at it in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" or Racheal Weisz and Patricia Velasquez's (doubtlessly artistically necessary) bikini-clad knife fight in "The Mummy Returns."
Oh, and my vote? Well, Rumy's got the skills. But Alisin, as in everything else she does, fights dirty. I say Alisin, or a Rikk-inflicted truce.
-- Nathan,

I was thinking about that earlier. Rumy may be unable to react in time to a completely unexpected attack, or may fall directly into one (if Ali is lucky). I just want to point out that this is the second time that I've downloaded a Final Fantasy theme from Napster because someone suggested it as a webcomic "soundtrack". The first time being when I downloaded the "Sorceress Theme" from FF8 'cause someone suggested it for a "Sluggy Freelance" strip.

Ha, ha I say! This fight is an official no contest, Rumy will take it. If I was crazy, angry, drunk, fought dirty, and had a chain; I still wouldn't stand a chance against Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, or Stan Lee. I am sure T will let Alisin get the obligatory grab with her chain, but I can't see this fight lasting more than 3 seconds. Rumy is a machine. Really the fight wont last 3 seconds, because Rikk will stop it perhaps *prediction alert* getting hurt by Rumy in the process, or getting in her way and staring her down. *Crazy prediction* This causing her to break down and tell them everything (In reality I see this probably happening after the fight anyway) that she has been feeling. Or perhaps *chaotic prediction* the fight will end BECAUSE ALISIN'S ILLNESS WILL KICK IN! (Yeah I know, 4 years, that

I think that in all of the touting of martial arts skills that everyone may have forgotten Drunken Kung Fu. Alisin is rip roarin drunk most likely and is quite ready for Rumy. She's instigating this fight after all. I don't think she'd use real drunken style tactics but it's something to think about. The things I don't think we'll be seing are the Moon Mascara Magic and Goth Poetry powers discussed in that old thread.

My vote goes for Alisin.................... and then Will. C'mon big guy! Hit her! It's...........training. That's all! Trust me................
------------------

First of all, I wish I was drawing that fight!!! T!!! You held out on me!! As to who is going to win, I don't think it will be easy to tell. Yeah, Rumi's a disciplined fighter with lots of skill, but Alisin is an unknown. I look at this as I would the classic "Batman vs Captain America": both are argueably the best hand-to-hand fighters in their respective universes, but Batman, as I think Alisin will do, will fight dirty in order to win.
Thor
As Sammy Davis Jr. used to say, "hindsight is 20."

Sorry for making this so long; I got inspired.
Really, Alisin is mostly an unknown. If I remember correctly, she was captured in TMDG by Moldy, but didn't fight, choosing instead to run away when she got a chance (using handcuffs very quickly). But then, Rumy did fight and didn't do too well. Later, in LTA, she almost got a chance to fight, but got preempted. Finally, in FSAH, she once again missed her chance against Will, choosing instead to talk it out. I suppose I could count her time with Rikk; she showed some skill in hogtying him so quickly (yes, I know he was essentially an untrained opponent).
So far, we know her weapons of choice are whips, chains, and handcuffs, and we've seen her wield the whip and the handcuffs effectively and quickly.
But Rumy is very well-trained and focused, so good that she beat Hyperman.
Guessing, and this is purely a guess since Alisin is such an unknown, I would say Rumy outclasses Alisin in the martial skill department. But we have one more thing to throw into the mix. Distraction, or the verbal jujitsu. Rumy actually won because she used this on Hyperman. In essence, Alisin used it against Will and Moldy (true, it almost had the opposite effect on Will, but she could have attacked in that moment of hesitation; she was holding back because he was Rikk's friend). The ability to distract your opponent verbally using insight into their hot buttons.
My prediction for the battle? Rumy gets in some good hits or gets Alisin into some holds, while Alisin, displaying an extreme tolerance for pain, distracts Rumy with a sexual comment and whips the handcuffs on her. This won't stop Rumy, but will even things somewhat. The fight ends when Rikk, trying to stop them, gets in the middle and gets whacked by both. Knocked unconscious, Rikk comes to believing himself to be Captain Kurt, and tries to seduce Rumy and Alisin with bad acting.
As for who this fanboy wants to have win, hmmm... how about having Kath come over and smack some sense into both Alisin and Rumy's head. Then we could have a three-way girlfight...umm, forget I said anything.
--Tuscahoma
[This message has been edited by Tuscahoma (edited 05-11-2001).]

I think people are overestimating Alisin's "unpredictability". At least from my martial arts experience (not vast, granted, but not nonexistent either), part of the point is to learn not to second-guess your opponent. If you concentrate on what your opponent is doing now as opposed to guessing at what they might do next, you have less of a chance of getting caught off-guard.
At least in Aikido (the bulk of my own experience, as it's the only martial art I've studied) there are parts that involve predicting someone's response to a stimulus. But those are generally based on reflex rather than conscious reaction, like how a person will automatically resist if you tug on their arm. Overriding a reflex reaction requires mental preparation, which requires understanding of your opponent's technique, which requires training, which is precisely what Alisin does not have.
Alisin's only real advantage is in her choice of weaponry. Chains are hard to block or avoid, can do a lot of damage when they hit, and can also be used to bind. However, it also has its own disadvantages: it's clumsy and heavy, and you stand just as good a chance of hitting yourself as your opponent if you aren't careful.
In short, I think Alisin will get her butt handed to her.
------------------

I can imagine him making use of speed lines, and, though I am not 100% on this, flames could appear around a person when they are angry.
