Do your best to produce a cool strip on a timely schedule, and keep your fingers crossed.
------------------

Soupstock would be a good choice.
If it weren't for the fact that it's been down for reasons that I do not know.
Matt Wilson

Did you sign up for the KSCritics E-Mail group? That's what I'd recommend.

quote:
Originally posted by drollstreet:

For reference, I'm probably not in "happy face mood" when writing this but I always forget to change the button. Not this sign, though. NERDZ

I love all the comics above, but I happen to think that they need work- I'm a review guy, remember? ^_^
I mean not that they're bad at all but I don't think they have the edge which let's other comics onto Keenspot.
A few tips...
I think that Drollstreet, your comics could use more graphical zing. Add fancy-ass colors and try to make the artwork cleaner. It's good, but not great- make sure all lines are closed and that you make the sharpest and most detailed lines that you can. Also use a ruler when necessary for things (such as the side border on that David & John cameo strip). It's still a great comic though! But we can all use improvement, can't we?
Damien, I think your comic has a very clean look to it. The jokes often make me laugh out loud but of course, the humor could be sharper- you want comics at least a few times a month that just make you BURST out laughing! Strive for that and you'll certainly have a good chance. Plus, try to make your comics each very graphically impressive- they are already, but I mean like your logo- just standard cheapo effects can make your comic look all that much better.
And Matt, you know I'm a fan of your comic! One thing I've found though is that with the abscence of color in your strips (and greys as well), the lines often become tangled and it detracts from the experience. My opinion is to use more shading techniques of SOME sort. Otherwise, let's just see how your new strip gets goin'!
Ugh, I gtg... rehearsals for a play. But it's still fun!
------------------
