Things to check:

That's there's no indextemplate.html in /webpages/.

That it's all lowercase and spelt correctly, including the .html extention.
------------------

I'm not too entrily sure, but maybe your AutoKeen just needs a swift kick in the rear to get it going. Try to upload a comic.
You know, I think I had the same problem when I first began. But I really can't remember. But hey, maybe there's a waiting period, kinda like whn you may have to wait for your DNS to come in?
I have no clue, I'm just typing whatever comes to mind.
------------------

Okies, this seems like a reeeeeally stupid question, and no doubt the answer is so incredibly simple I'm going to be admitted to hospital shortly for kicking myself so hard I break my ankle... But it's got me stumped.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then here's my story:
I recently got authorised by Keenspace, and received my little "welcome" message detailing my username, password and all that good stuff. Checked it out - everything that was supposed to be working, was. Everything that was supposed to be broken, was still broken. But no biggie.
I use FlashFXP to access my little corner of Keenspace, and I get in fine - see the "workspace" folder and everything right where it should be.
Then I open the workspace folder, and download both "indextemplate" and "dailytemplate" into a specific folder on my hard drive.
Next, I open Dreamweaver and take a look at both pages. Looking good. Edit both slightly for testing purposes (Invert bg and word colour, remove date thingy from title) and upload them back into the "workspace" folder, overwriting the old pages.
Then it's into my maintenance page, and I click on "site maintenance". I hit "update index.html page only", in order to save as much time as possible, since I'm just testing everything, and wait for ten minutes.
In which, nothing happens - pages remain exactly as they were pre-editing.
Wait another twenty minutes, then go back into site maintenance and hit "regular update". Wait thirty minutes - same result.
Repeat with "do a FULL page update" (I was getting a little desperate) - wait thirty minutes. No joy.
Basically, no matter how I edited the pages they refused to actually appear in their edited form when viewed online. I know they're uploading fine, and I don't receive any error messages when I use the site maintenance button. The pages aren't duplicated in any other part of the "workspace" or "public_html" folders. I haven't got any pages called "index" anywhere...
You can probably tell I've spent the last hour looking over previous posts on this board.

I know that there have been some server problems recently, and I know that it can take a while for Keenspace to get around to updating my site, but it's been about two hours since I last clicked the "regular update" button, and I don't see any change on my site.
So I was wondering if this was just one of those things, or if the updating thing is down for now, or if something's gone horribly wrong with my site...?
To end on a happy note, up until now I've been overjoyed with Keenspace - I love the services it provides, and I was frankly amazed at how fast I was authorised. If my index page would just upload when it was told to, no doubt my parents would be fetching the tranqulisers at this point. So... Thanks.
And thanks to anyone who may take the time to reply to this - it's appreciated. Really.
username: rpchibi
