I guess we'll make this for open PSO talk, including Version 2, the server upgrade, cheating and all that.I shall start.Does anybody agree that all Final Fantasy and Dragon Ball characters suck ass in this game? As a matter of fact, I would go as far to say ANY character named or based on another character from anime or video games. You are giving an awesome creation tool and all people can do is copy off exsisting ideas. ;_;And above all, I hate beggers. Example, "MASTER DEATH!!" enters a game and the first thing he says is "I NEED WEAPON", and the message is repeated several times as if we didn't see it the first time. "GIVE ME MAG CELLS!!", "ANY FREE RARES?!", "I AM SUCK" argh.. n.n

some say i look like sephiroth, but i didnt do it intentionally. i just liked the way the face looked, calm and serene yet.. a brutal killing force. Besides, sephiroths eyes were blue, mine are green <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">

I agree that I want to frag every 'Sephiroth' or 'SSJ 69 Gohan.' But it can be acceptable to pick and obscure anime character and try and play them. Meaning go old skool and learn these new anime fanatics a thing or 37. Oh yeah, the CAPS LOCK should be outlawed. ------------------

I wish they didn't put that Saijyin hairdo in the character creation. Ugh... I hate those more than the un-original characters. I see these in the Ariel lobbies all the time running in circles asking for this or that rare item, ect. I usually tell them that nobody in their right mind will just give items to some begging idiot. And usually they act like a whipped puppy.

we really need to play, now that i know who i'm plaing with i wont have to be as careful about dying. (yes, i still die).i usually lecture the lvl 43 running around with a heaven's punisher and then i get yelled at by everyone =Di need to start playing that hucast i made again.. i gave him a bunch of stuff from teh time period i was "trading". so he was using a double saber at lvl 1 <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> i gave him a lvl 200 mag and a soul banish too, i'll probably sell that stuff if i start playing with him again. but i did give him a bunch of money that was mine.

What the hell is a Delsaber's Right Arm for? I found one on Normal offline the other day when the server was off. All it says is "???"------------------

you mentioned something about cheating in PSO and im curious how its done? Ive been an unrealtournament junkie for over a year now and the UT cheat is called aimbot or funbot. It basically locks ur crosshair onto an enemies head and well u can imagine the outcome. There is a counter measure called CHSP that will kick u off the server that has it but new versions of aimbot seem to come out on a daily basis. aimbot is a simple modification to ut but im wondering how its done on a console game?

The big thing is that people are using Gamesharks to create ultra rare items and duplicate the fuck out of them, thus making nothing really rare anymore. Also weapons and armor are being "hacked" past thier usual powers. Weapons have a MAX + value, like a Frying Pan +9, but with a GS you can make a Pan +99. There were also method to kill other players all invovling the heal spell, basiclly an item was modified so that it would make your magic a negative number, and when you healed somebody it would kill them instead. I don't know how this one works but there are now codes that modify an item to that if you equip it, it cause your save on the memory card to be deleted. Weird huh? Sega is trying everything they can to stop this, but only so much they CAN do sadly.. like you said, new "cheats" or hacks come out every day.

Around the lines of having the character info on your card but each character you create is assigned an ID when you log online, and it could use that ID to cross check shit.. what shit, I don't know, but it's the base of an idea I'm sure they could toy with. Another method which would work, but not be desired is to have seperate characters for online and offline play. It would suck in a way, but this would be a good way to prevent a lot of shit, as when you log online the server could ping some data off ya which could detect if the code of the game has been altered (via CRC checks) .. Then people could do whatever they wanted offline and couldn't bring it over online with them. I'm sure that v2 will have some extra shiat added in to prevent SOME crap, but a reality is that it can never be FULLY prevented. I'm sure that PSO2 will have much in the lines of Diablo 1 -> Diablo 2 in terms of cheat prevention. Of course PSO2 may never see the light of Dreamcast *sad* Unless it's finished by March 2002, it'll be X-Box, PC, and/or Gamecube most likely, and hopefully no Playstation 2 version!!

well, its kinda kewl i dont have that kind of probs, being a RAcaseal i really dont look like any anime characters. But yeah, those damn DBz and FFIIV characters are getting rather annoying. Delsaber's right arm (per Official Guide) was for Dr. Montague (Doc's secret plan quest) to make weapon's for you out of the said parts. Beat all the quests, then tracked him down in one of the quests, again per Official Guide, in the Unsealed Doors quest.
I think I will try that around tomorrow..

You know speaking of weappons.. If they have a DOUBLE-SABER. A DOUBLE-BRAND, a DOUBLE-BUSTER, heck maybe even a DOUBLE-PALLASCH and DOUBLE-GLADUIS could exist..
I wonder if you could also wield a Double Bladed weapon--one on each hand..

Okay then, according to the offical guide, what am I supposed to do that I found one? Do I have to play thru the gay quests?!Anyways.. there are no Double Gladius' and all that.. because of the Gamesharking faggot homosexuals, all hidden weapons have been revealed and hundreds of copies of them are floating around from duplications. From what I hear, finding shit like Spread Needles, Magical Pieces, Lavis Cannons, and all those unique weapons are supposed to be FREAKING hella rare. We're talking Shoes of Happiness from Dragon Warrior 3 rare.Note to that, stuff like DB's Sabers, Varista's and Double Sabers ARE just rare variations of exsisting weapons. The reall fing HTF stuff are the weapons that are unlike others (like that Chainsaw thingie)Hopefully the cool uniques from v2 will keep thier individuality. I don't want to see 1000 Spears with Rabbit Heads. Seeing that ONE guy who was lucky enough to get it will make that just that much cooler. And maybe he'd trade it for the Chinese Wok I found.This is just a rumor, but someone said there is an item called "Memories of Phantasy Star" that when found, opens up emluations of all 4 previous PS games. Cool? Yes!! Doable? Very much so, improve the Genesis emulation (at least the sound) from the Smash Pak and there all already English versions of the games so no new translations needed. Wild Rumor? Yes.. so I doubt it's real.. tho, I never got to play PS4, and PS3 is el bomb shitte.

Oy, L'roy, Heard from a friend that PS3 was being co-developed w/ IBM's DEEP BLUE. It's processor would be that of DEEP BLUE's..
Told him.. "that may be the case". "A powerful processor, playing a very interesting movie. But, not an interesting game can be played on it". What is it ? A computer that plays DVD. How original.
