I've been up and down Billboard's webpage, and there's only 5 articles on those guys, none of which mention chart listings. I could sign up to have complete access to their archives, but that requires a $15 dollar fee that I ain't paying!
Half a brownine point.

Alright, folks, you have until tonight to figure out the song I was thinking of when I asked the above question. Here's a hint: "Former Eagle." That's all you get.
And as for that guy from Viva Variety, I doubt he's ever hit the pop charts, and since I don't have a name, I can't verify it. Still, RainyDayMan, you get half a brownie point for at least coming up with something.

Damn Nicole took my answer.
Well there are all those Techno remixes, and
all of those Japanese artist that sing songs for Video games but yet sing them at their concerts too. But lets me see if I can think of the song you are thinking of.
Is it Don Henley's Johnny Can't Read? It mentions pinball in it. *shrugs*

And I probably should have specified "American Pop Charts" there, since I don't doubt a lot of artists who do songs for games in Japan hit those charts, and that would make it way too easy for all the J-Pop freaks out there.

Here's the answer I had in mind: "Sapce Age Whiz Kids" by Joe Walsh.
