Well I WOULD be doing something else right now, but I'll tell you about that in a minute. I'm bored so I think I'll do a bit of endless rambling.
I don't totally hate Incredible Crisis. I like the music in some places. Like the title screen. It's the only place you can control the dog as far as I know. Anyway, this music is cool. I wish it was my theme song. Listen to the music while you read the rest of my junk:
http://www.vgmusic.com/new-files/pesus_ ... een.mid
After dinner I had planned to watch my 3rd Fantasia DVD called Fantasia Legacy. It's gots bunch of info on Fantasia and stuff. But I don't know if it's my PC DVD drive or the software I use the play the DVDs (Creative's PC DVD Encore), but I cannot get it to work. I watched Fantasia 2000 on it just fine yesterday, but today it decides not to play Fantasia Legacy OR F2000 with sound! Even after I restarted my PC, it did this. And Chicken Run doesn't want to work either. Poopies! Oh how I wish I had my PS2, then I could play this stuff fine without and trouble (hopefully). And I wanna play RRV real bad, too. I think I need to move my RRV disc away from my Mega Man discs because everytime I go for a Mega Man CD the Ridge Racer Lady on the RRV disc keeps taunting me. But right now I'm mad cuz I can't play my DVDs on my PC. Well, I'm not really mad, just slightly perturbed. ^_^
WARNING!
THE BATTLESHIP
"UPCOMING SPOILERS FOR MEGA MAN LEGENDS 2"
IS APPOACHING FAST!
How'd you like my little reference to Darius there? Anyway, this past weekend I FINALLY beat Mega Man Legends 2. Took me long enough, but I did have some other games distract my attention (like Banjo-Tooie and FF9). Anyway, the last boss on MML2 is just like the last boss from MML, except it's a girl this time. Well, the last boss from MML was kinda girlish, too, but this time it's not questionable. I'm pretty sure Sera is a girl's name. But the last boss is HARD!!!!!!!!!!! Capcom must've known that adding a lock-on feature in MML2 would've made the game easier, so the upped the difficulty of the last boss. Let me give you an idea. I zipped through most of the game up till that point surviving on just 10-15 energy tank refill units. In order to beat the last boss, I had to buy an additional 50 energy tank refill units! But earning enough zenny to buy all that stuff was a breeze with my patented zenny-getting trick, so it wasn't too bad. The ending is cool, but not as cool as the endings to MML and the Tron Bonne spinoff. MML let you walk about for a bit before leaving, and the Tron Bonne ending wrapped up everything nicely, but the ending to MML2 leaves a lot of open ends. Oh sure the ending is cool and all, but I just like the others better. In the MML2 ending (remember I warned you about spoilers), Mega Man is stuck on a space station with two women (whoo hoo, Mega Man!), and they don't know how to get down. But Mega Man says, "Don't worry, if I know Roll, she'll find a way to rescue us!" But I bet he was hoping she'd take her time, if you know what I mean, hee hee. And then you see the credits. A 'Rob Smith' did Teisel's voice. Does that name ring a bell to you, Yamcha Mister Cartoon Voice Expert? After the credits is the funny part. Teisel, Barrel, and that other guy are sitting on a bench sipping coffee and watching Tron and Roll work together (not that way, Leroy). They're trying to make a rocket to go and rescue Mega Man from the space station and the two women. Then Data the monkey comes and tries to help (how'd he get back?) and Tron and Roll both look at him all evil and say "You stay out of this, Data!" Then Data walks away all sad and stuff and looks up at the sky and says "Mega Man, it may be a while before we can come get you now." And a Servebot walks past and says, "Looks like we've both got our work cut out for us!" Then the game ends! It's funny seeing Tron and Roll try to 'work together' on that rocket!
GUILTY GEAR X
Recently I got to see an import game called Guilty Gear X (and it is coming to the US), and I thought I'd tell you all about it because I know you all like fighting games and this'll give me a chance to show you what goes on in my head when I watch people play these fighting games cuz I hate to play them myself. I think someone told me that some of the people who make Guilty Gear X are former SNK employees. After seeing the game, I believe it! What puzzles me though is that they try to make this game sound all serious, but I think it should be called Silly Gear X because that's what I saw it as. Of course, I'm the one who can make Juni and Juli sound silly, so maybe it's just me. They try to disguise the game with seriousness. You've got dark settings like junkyard alleys and creepy mezzanines (typical fighting arena, eh?) And the music is all serious rock and stuff--no Gourmet Race music here. And they put a serious blood red X additive to the already serious name Guilty Gear. But I'm sorry, but the characters are JUST PLAIN SILLY! I think I'll talk about the ones I can remember and see if you agree with me.
First is Baiken, and I only remember that name because Yamcha has said it so many times. And no I didn't pronounce it 'Bacon' (I'm not that bad). Anyway, Baiken is a girly ninja girl, and I think she's Kid Niki's big sister. How do I know this? Well they both have the same spinning sword attack. I almost expected Baiken to beat up Death Breath in the game. When Baiken or anyone else jumps in the air, they leave this smoke trail behind them EVERYTIME THEY JUMP. Same smoke animation too. I saw more smoke in that game then fighting. Baiken can also stomp the floor and make planks pop up and hit someone on the other side. And when she hits people real big, the whole screen gets all orange and yellow and flashy.
There's this other girl that I like to call Rapunzel from Hell. She lets her hair do all the fighting. I'd hate to be her hairdresser! I think she should cut all her hair off and have the hair fight without her, that way she won't chance getting hurt by Kid Baiken's spinning sword attack.
And another girl is a pirate but she's really strong because she carries around an anchor ten times bigger than she is and she swings it around with ease. She can make dolphins attack the other guy and she can also have her whole ship crew stampede out and crush the other guy. And one of the crew members is a big fat maid that body slams the poor victim.
And then there's this guy that attacks with a pool stick. He can make cue balls float in the air and hit them with the stick and hit the other guy. He can also turn the other guy into pool balls and knock them around as well.
Then there's this other lady but she's not a lady cuz Yamcha and the other fighting game experts said that she's an evil entity and has no gender. But IT looks kind of like a lady--a really scary lady. IT has a blackbird that flies around and can sometimes turn into a Nekkid Ghost Lady. IT can make a weird bed appear and the other guy gets on the bed and the bird turns into a Nekkid Ghost Lady and does something weird to the other guy that kills him or her. And if IT wins, the blackbird turns into a Nekkid Ghost Lady and claps for you. I think that's neat. If I won a fighting game, I'd want someone to clap for me, too! I think I'll name the blackbird "Lady Bird." Ha ha! Get it?
There are other characters, but the only other one I can remember is the most amusing to watch. His name is Faust, but I don't know if that's in any relation to the same Faust from that book who summoned a demon called Mephisto and gave Faust everything he wanted and then took him on a guided tour through his future home--Hell. But this Faust is so crazy I bet he's been to Hell a couple of times. He defies proportion as he can make himself big or small at whim, and he wears a paper sack over his head. But then, if I had a lightbulb for a head, I'd wear a sack, too. Faust can turn himself into a baseball player, a bomb, and can even disappear into thin air only to come back by slamming a unseen door into the other guy--Mappy style.
I can't think of a character I like the best, though. Faust is funny but I also like the blackbird lady because she claps when you win. Now that you've read my story, doesn't Guilty Gear X sound silly to you, too?
The end.
--Klonoa
