Oooooo.... pretty. I want that compalation. Anyways it was what the guy said in a review of Monster Rancher Explorer. He said quote, "When I first popped Monster Rancher Explorer (Yamcha Note: This is really Solomon's Key NES fans) into my trusty Game Boy, I was reminded of the glory days of the NES - simple graphics and unique gameplay hooks. As I got further into the game, though, I was reminded about another aspect of the glory days - nostalgia aside, most games really weren't that good back then either." He pretty much says that almost all the old school games suck. That's a pisser, since I can name more classic games I still enjoy to play then I can modern games.
On a complete side note go to: http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3 , this could be me and James in the future
------------------

Hey Yamcha, you almost lost some respect points from me since you actually bought Shenmue (looks boring to me). I can only think of 3 good things about Shenmue: After Burner, Hang On, and Space Harrier playable in the game's arcade. And if I were you Yamcha, I wouldn't buy any more games until after Christmas. I HAVE a copy of Jet Grind Radio I would give to you and Leroy, ya know. Plus I will probably get Shenmue in the mail as well. I DEFINITELY know that Ulala is sending me Samba de Amigo. We can do some crazy maraca shakin' soon!
--Klonoa
But Yamcha, you won back your lost repect points since you bought both the Tron Bonne game and MML2 at the same time. I know that they may have PUT YOU A LITTLE IN THE RED THIS MONTH, but they are worth it. Fun games.

Keenspace isn't updating my comic even though I sent one yesterday which means either A) there's a fuck up at Keenspace, or B) I screwed up somewhere. Probably B). Unfortunately since I'm at work, there's nothing I can do about it at this moment. #$@$@$@$@$#
------------------

Damn, this week hasn't been too kind to any of us, has it? Oh, what I would give for that Thanksgiving break right now...
------------------

Well, that's my only real complaint for today, other than that it's been pretty good for me (but not my wallet), cause I think I broke my record on random buying of video games and stuff. Cause today after receiving my paycheck I bought:
Street Fighter III: Third Srike (DC)
Jet Grind Radio (DC)
Shenmue (DC)
Misadventures of Tron Bonne (PSX)
Mega Man Legends 2 (PSX)
Shaft (Old School) (DVD)
Simpsons Tree House of Horror eps 3 and 5 (VHS)
Storm Shadow button down Polyester shirt (for Kyle)
Punisher button down polyester shirt (for me)
Dragon Ball Z: The Z Warriors Prepare (I got this cause it was the goofiest of all the DBZ eps. Goku and Piccolo go out to get their driver's licenses )
Newest Issue of EGM (which had a reviewer that deserved a swift kick in the balls (if you wanna' know, just ask))
That's pretty much it.
------------------

(originally appeared on dc.ign.com):
To this day, I still believe such Genesis classics like Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage 2 and Phantasy Star II are better than half the crap we play nowadays. Oh sure, you new kids on the gaming block scoff at that... how can 16-bit visuals and gameplay compete with the 128-bit games of today? Well, you can find out at the start of next year when SEGA releases the Smash Pack Bundle in stores everywhere!
So, besides a Dreamcast console and controller, what makes the Smash Pack Bundle so special? How about having ten of the greatest Genesis games, as well as Sega Swirl and Virtua Cop 2, on one disc? Oh, I've got your attention now, eh? For $179.95 you can get this Smash Pack Bundle beginning January 2001. So what are the ten Genesis games featured? Thought you'd never ask:
Sonic the Hedgehog
Vectorman
Altered Beast
Golden Axe
Revenge of Shinbo
Streets of Rage 2
Columns
Phantasy Star 2
Shining Force
Wrestle War

"Sega has an incredible legacy of great content which started in the arcades, progressed to Genesis and is now apparent today on Dreamcast," said Charles Bellfield, vice president of corporate and marketing communications, Sega of America. "With this bundle, SEGA is giving gamers not only a bit of nostalgia, but even more reason to purchase this Dreamcast this holiday season."
So, what about those of us who already own a Dreamcast? SEGA is planning on releasing a separate "Greatest Genesis Hits" disc that may or may not have the same games as those found in the Smash Pack Bundle. Also, SEGA plans to release a series of different of "Smash Packs" next year. But if you have a Dreamcast and want your "Greatest Genesis Hits" disc, you know what to do... get your friends to buy a Smash Pack Dreamcast Bundle!
------------------
