Is there a way to set up your main page to update with a message? That is, if I've got a specific comment about a strip (Nov 1, say) that I don't want to appear _until_ that day, can I set up my page to save it until that day or do I have to do it manually?<P>I assume that if I change indextemplate.html and update my site it will appear immediately. This defeats the point.<P>I also assume that I can edit the pages in the archive to contain such a message, but is there a way to get the subsequent archive page to contain the message from the main page?<P>Does this make sense? TIA.<P>Matt<P>------------------

The only way I can think to do it is to display your comments in *.gif format with the day you want it displayed in the title, just like the comics. (ie: <B>20001010_whatever.gif</B>) Then it'd show up where the ***todays_comics*** tag is. How it'd work when you have a comic for that day is anybody's guess tho'.
Experiment! And remember, I take all the credit if it works, and none of the blame if it doesn't. <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">

If the message is on your main page, just stick it on your indextemplate.html file. DO NOT MANUALLY UPDATE!! Thoretically, the text will automatically update along with your index page and comic.<P>Lates,

You should use Mark's suggestion. A lot of the others will cause undue concern.<P>------------------
For reference, I'm probably not in "happy face mood" when writing this but I always forget to change the button. Not this sign, though. <A HREF="http://nerdz.keenspace.com" TARGET=_blank> NERDZ </A>

Just upload a 20001004b.html (for instance) with the text you want to display to your comics directory in your workspace. It'll get shown under that day's comic (in this case 20001004.gif).<P>------------------
