Re: Betrayal
(spoilers in this post!)
I'm still a bit confused by the whole "books are alive" thing, as it really clashes with the OVA and the TV series - if destroying books is murder, Anita is a one person genocide in the library vs Junior, and none of the paper masters seem to hold the books as precious as life - even Yomiko uses the only extant copy of her book to escape from the I-Jin's rocket, which I doubt she would have done if it was screaming at her lots. Maggie doesn't hesitate to sacrifice Bram Stoker's Dracula book to save Nenenenene either...
Also, wasn't the fire an accident in the TV series? As I remember it, it looked like Yomiko went slightly crazy after seeing
what Joker did to her mentor (Donnie?)
and the fire was a side effect...
Of course, killing a whole load of people ALSO would have that effect.

It's all fun and games until someone loses their SOUL.
Re: Betrayal
Eee-yep, Yomiko needs medication (If I was a genre-blind psychologist, I'd say she's schizophrenic. But since I'm not: anti-depressants.)
Finally, I remember to do a signature! Oh the wonder! Oh the happiness! ... I don't even have a snappy remark to make.
I am in DESPAIR! The lack of a snappy remark for my signature has left me in despair!
Ooh I got it!

Re: Betrayal
This beats any manly sacrifice I've ever seen anywhere, if only because the books knew the only thing they could do at all for Yomiko was die.
I may hate seeing books in any kind of situation where they could be harmed, but damn, that's definitely one of the worst things a person could ever experience.

Am I the only one who thinks that last panel looks so sweet?
I am the insane sketch of a raven on the blackboard in violet chalk,
The blood on the roses, and the shadow that walks,
I am the Mad Hatter, Drinking tea, Killing time,
I am the voice that you hear in your mind.

Re: Betrayal
I think it's well done. I don't think I could draw that. (-prediction for next comic- Pip comes in, looks at the sobbing Yomiko, turns around and walks away out of embarassment. Few comics later, I imagine an Eric Matthews mimicry.)

Re: Betrayal
...Well, Yomiko got the hug she needed. And that's the important thing. Also, she will be helped by Hellsing, which is also good.
(restraint breaks down)
Poor Yomiko! I can't bear to see her this upset, and the things she described sound so painful! Waaah!

I pitched an amusing idea for Ijin Hitler, but Erin said there won't be time to explore the concept.Kazokuhouou wrote:....would they have DNA of Hitler? He did write Mein Kampf.

That's quite the impressive power she has there....and wield EE cleavage unsupported.

From pictures I've seen of the original Mata Hari, she looks more like a B-cup (or maybe an A-cup.)Chaos Priest wrote:That's quite the impressive power she has there....and wield EE cleavage unsupported.
Now Nancy (learned her name from absolute anime) looks like an F-cup to me. (in other news, the difference in art styles during a crossover between two anime does not mix with breast discussion. I've thought for the longest time Seras had larger ones than Yomiko, but maybe it was just immaturity on my part. Who knows.)
But none the less, it is an impressive power, I envy the back strength.
Also... what would we call a relationship like Integra and Alucard's? I draw a blank when I want to explain the kind of relationship that hooks me. (it was my first 'canon' pairing)

Re: Betrayal
I like Nancy, sure, and her superbreasts are amazing, and because of the way ROD was released in America I can say it's my favorite movie, but she's not Nenene, and that's that.
Speaking of Nenene, is it just me, or does Hyakko's Kazamatsuri Touma seem an awful lot like a combination of Maggie and Nenene?

...k the zoom in on the last panel has my speculation senses tingling... does this mean that Schro is an I-jin? probably not, my speculation senses tend to act weirdly when I'm sick but its what my brain came up with when I looked at that.

Re: Betrayal
He's a super-powered humanoid named Schroedinger whose abilities relate to the talents of the historical figure Schroedinger.Eclipsed Twilight wrote:... does this mean that Schro is an I-jin?
You do the math.
Re: Betrayal
He could be the first Ijin created, since he's about 17 years old (I think).
Seras is stated as being C Cups, even though the relative dimensions of her breasts to her head vary widely across different sources. (One toy had them being slightly larger than her head, making her J cups, but that's not canon.) They appear large mainly due to the tight shirt. Yomiko's breast-to-head ratio in the ROD TV series was much larger than Seras's and in official art where she wears revealing clothes it's clear nature was very very generous to her. So D's are a good extrapolation from this. It's interesting that her bust size in the TV series is significantly larger than her OVA design - it's said the TV people wanted to "sex her up" so rather than change her clothes they just added to her chest.
...Yes, I have really spent too much time thinking about this.
Or is that "not enough?" Hmmm...
