Morella: First let me say that I am not a church goer any longer. However, I went to church like a zealot when I was younger and even played with the idea of becoming a minister at one point. I would like to point out that the church does not see you as evil at all, and if you read the teachings (especially of the new testament and the followings of JC) you will see that God says Christians (rather his people, Christian is never really said in the Bible) are not to judge people, that is for God to do. The problem is that what most people see of the church are those who are outspoken, and these people tend to be the modern day Pharisees... zealots who use the words given to their own advantage. The main reason is that most people who actually follow the beliefs of the church and the teachings held in the Bible are rather humble, and don't push themselves on others. It is sad that most people have such a negative view of Christians, especially since I know so many good people on both side of that. (and yes I said good, I believe in good and evil, but I've said more than enough in this post

I believe that Mindy just wasn't strong enough to be affected. When Bing was on the island he made the reference that he had too much magic and therefore couldn't stay close to Libby. That is also why Dor can stay there despite being Fae, he has lost most of his powers with the removal of his horns.

no reason too, you actually had some really insightful things in there about the non-existance of good and evil. It's kind of ironic too because my best friend and I currently have a discussion (thats been going on for almost two weeks now...) about that exact thing, he shares your belief that good and evil don't exist and are a product of a humans need to seperate things out... so no need to feel embarrassed of your post... I just wanted to point out that the TRUE believers in the church tend to have a different view than the "Look at me!" Christian. (PS: I'm Pagan... so I suppose thats a mute point with the whole Christian thing though
)

You are the most forgiving bunch of people I've ever met in my life. I was seriously considering never coming back to the boards because I thought I had offended everyone.
Karrde-san? I think I love you.
About Laura: I've been 'chive diving, and I think it's her eyebrows. Really, cover them up, and she looks fine!! So, her eyebrows are actually little imp/demony things (like the ones Bing had to deal with in ThatGuy-sama's comic) who are taking over her brain. Uh-huh *nods*
(I have a fever, can you tell?

No no, this is a serious idea here, brain eating eyebrows could go rampant on the island! I mean if they managed to breed the damage they could cause on the world by systematically taking of each person on the island and then moving on to the rest of the world with this handful of powerful people! AAAAAHHH WE'RE ALL DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm flattered

WITH you, not AT you, LadyNS. I wouldn't throw Nair at you!
In all seriousness, I think I might give up on Laura for now. The Madame isn't talking, and it doesn't seem like she will (I tend to like the easy way out, can you tell?).
So, I'll just say that I'm sticking with my theory that she is some sort of construct made by...something or another. Her mission is to cause the Fae to turn against one another, and make them suitable for Hell.

Well...no. She doesn't really care about turning fae against each other persay. Frey and Phrix have been arguing for ages, you can just tell. No, she's targeting Dor, and she was watching as Rose consoled Truth.
My bet is that Dor is the apprentice chosen, Laura knows, and she wants to make him miserable for some reason or another. The outcome depends on him because it is his trial. And I got nothin' else.

but... Dor can't do witchcraft...
anyway. Morella, I actually read your post twice ^^; I thought it was really quite interesting (I love to hear people's opinions on religion, and some other stuff like ethics and morals... but methinks that is for another thread
).
It's pretty hard to offend us lot... and if we were offended, you'd know it, and not through silence
anyway.
I'm not the best person to ask for opinions on religions ^^;
basically, if its not forced on people (like christianity was forced on me ever since I could shut up in church until I flat out refused to go) (and, for example, in Communist China) and if it's not based on hurting others (like the KKK for example... dont know much about that actually, could anyone fill me in so im not under any misconceptions?) and isn't based on race and/or exclusion/victimization of anyone else, be it individual or group, it should be ok. but it's not really for me to say people can't be part of any religion they please, so its all slightly moot.
... that was way longer than I meant it to be.
dangit.
anyway!
Laura.
I think she's exceptionally... vindictive and sadistic, whatever she is. Now for contemplation.
*contemplates*
apparently a Subway cookie has the same amount of saturated fat (the bad lipid... not that unsaturated fats are particularly good for you... well not all of them) as a McDonalds whopper...
dangit, wrong contemplation. gaaaah ><
note: i will be highly unlikely to post pics from the show since we didnt get any... but we're getting the dvd? I can take a picture of my (awesome) costume. NOTHING goes together. It's so much fun
I have a hat made out of a plastic container (i swear its tupperwear)
