April Fools Comics

Post by Fading Aura »

I quit my comic this year for April Fool's Day. It's a bit old hat (and one of my characters had something to say about that) but I had a hard time coming up with something as original as what was posted last year. ;)
Here we stand, here we fall; history don't care at all. Make the bed, light the light; Lady Mercy won't be home tonight.

It's not so much the lack of a joke, but the placement of it in the storyline. Sorry, this one isn't a jokey comic. Angsty type.

Edit: I'm actually surprised it was funny at all!

Aw, snap! I just now noticed! That I, would I never remember it.

Hope you don't mind, I kinda stole that idea from you. It was just too perfect; Our next comic is gonna be #100 (the "big one" we've been talking about for awhile), and #99 featured everyone on a plane...it kinda fit.

Edit: Taken down the image as I see that Jim has already posted it. I was thinking about doing a M*A*S*H quote in the last panel. "It spun in; there were no survivors."

I just think the dinosaur's face looks funny and psychotic. That and the whole awkwardness of the moment is funny in itself, kinda like how in Napoleon Dynamite, I never really found any jokes so much as a continuously funny string of awkward moments. Or maybe I just find things funny for no reason whatsoever. ;)

And on the banner, I noticed it for a couple of months and haven't said anything. Actually, took me a while to notice it, but then again I always detect typos everywhere for some reason. Most probably never would have noticed.

I had the comic's villain pull a couple of pranks on the heroes. I couldn't think of anything big.

yes, i know, i'm working on it, but i think my camera is too smart for my own good. If i shut off the flash manually it takes horrible pictures.

If I really had a sexy ray, I would totally abuse it. And you could be included in that abuse, absolutely.
