If he was sealed, wouldn't that inhibit the progress of decay?Toxic wrote:Holy crap, that's brilliant! I'm going to have to rip that off.Noise Monkey wrote:there was an artist who had himself sealed, naked, in a glass coffin, so that as a final performance art piece, people could watch him decompose.
I'd like my death to raise eyebrows, and hopefully not be too painful. Aside from that, I haven't worked it out.
On the subject of interesting post-death procedure, in one of my classes we watched an interview with a gentleman who had gotten nearly his entire body tatooed. He intends to have his skin tanned and leave it to his tattoo artist. Apparently he's got it all set up. *shrugs*

Firstly I don't know why anyone would want immortality, it's grossly overrated. Think about it, you live forever, so because of that you will outlive everyone that you love. God I'd wish I could die after seeing everyone I have ever loved die...but I wouldn't be able to cause i'm immortal!
Now then how I want to die!!
Going out in a blaze of glory. I want my death to be monumental, something like I save the universe or something, so then my name will be known by all and I will have monuments. Also all people who know me will get nice paydays to talk about me and what they think may have caused me to be such a great hero.
It's win/win for me and everyone I hold dear.

Yeah, I imagine it would be. Rather like ruling the world, or something.K-Dawg wrote:Firstly I don't know why anyone would want immortality, it's grossly overrated.
As for post-mortem arrangements, I want to be cremated in secret. And then I want a casket buried with a robotic duplicate of myself, that after a preset amount of time will burst forth from the coffin and scare the crap out of whoever happens to be nearby.
