yeah yeah, Guelph. Used to go to a bar there when I was a kid... forget the name, but I always remember going to the Tack Bell afterwards. I remember this cafe/bookstore called the Bookshelf -- that was way before Chapters... wow, the memories. Anyways, yah, I used to live in Waterloo, now i live in Japan. And I don't miss Oktoberfest at all.
------------------

Josh... that comic was based on a conversation I had with some OFU people back when I was in Canada. Naska was talking about some comic she saw where a guy takes a girl's eye out of her socket, and has sex with it. (I think you have to be built pretty small to do that, but that's another case entirely.) I felt challenged, and came up with that scenario to top it. However, when it came time to draw it, I decided to use Emiko's Genesis characters. AJ and I worked on it together ... the result, which GRAPHICALLY shows EVERYTHING, was on sarcastabitch for a while. It was such a horrifying piece that we buried it. That THL comic was a nod to that piece. It even has the same quote: "So tight."
However, I wanted to try to top THAT on my own. So I drew this fanart of Card Captor Sakura:
http://clay.simplenet.com/graphics/h/mah-ccs.jpg
I drew that about a year ago. If I find the Emiko's Genesis fanart, I will post that too.
------------------

This may sound totally shitty -- but I totally regret my involvement in that. It was mean-spirited. It was more mean-spirited towards I.K. than funny. I could see it if he was sending all of us letters telling us how much we all suck, but all he was doing (in his mind at least) was promotion. He did it with great zeal, and in hindsight I have no idea why it bothered me and other people so much back then. I mean, if we didn't like his stuff, we didn't have to bother with him.
I think in general I was a more petty person back then :( A year of living in Japan has shaken that out, I hope.
------------------

Dude, all the Japanese restaurants are owned by Koreans. If they're Japanese, and living in the tri-cities, they work at Toyota.
Mind you, Koreans make tastier food than the Japanese. Before I came to Japan, I LOVED Japanese food. But when I got here, and had some Japanese food made by Japanese people ... ah, what do you expect from a bunch of people who believe that plain rice is "tasty".
I'm actually returning to Canada in a couple of weeks, and I'm making a beeline for Taco Bell. Then I'll wash it down with some Tim Horton's coffee. And then I'll get blasted on Sleeman's Cream Ale. And then I'll pass out on a REAL bed. And then I'll recover from the hangover with Advil and Gatorade. Then I'll have the $2.99 breakfast at Mel's Diner. And then I'll ...
------------------

Well, going back a bit to the adult trend and LOPOW thing, I'm thinking to get a little rawer with my comic, if only to get on LOPOW, which I've been waiting for for a while now No, really, that's not the reason, of course, but rather that it seems like the way to go. It *is* named Stripped Again, after all, although there's three different meanings to that name...
BTW, I really like your comic, Poe. Really nicely drawn too. Plus nice web design.
------------------

Hey, Scott... I set up the K&S Show page with six cartoons and a "freak show". I'll show you all what I mean later tonight. I promise you that I'm raising the bar for even THL.
