And for the record, you also sold out with a direct reference to the Grand List of Console RPG Clichés. It was still hilarious, however, particularly the disclaimer.
"If you do not have a name, this treatment may not be for you."
Seriously now... why do all ancient civilizations end in rpgs? it doenst matter if they found the secret to eternal life and the question to the life, universe and everytrhing else... They are all dead by the time your hero`s adventure start.
As far as I know, Golden Sun is the only RPG where the ancient civilization still exists in the modern world. Though technically I can't remember details.
It still falls into a cliché:
The lemurians are decaing. And since the time is running slowly, they are going to die.(But then Isaac & Felix Co. go there and save the world.)
Besider, they only use water psyenergy. The other psyenergy population(besides some sporadic psyenergy users) are nowhere to be seen.
Well,
their society is an dystopia. They seem like uper duper great, but they are not. So yeah, they are particularly decaying(not that the rest of the world isnt, anyway.).
Im not shure, but lemurians wernt suposed to die ô.o. Plus, they are a little part of a once great civilization.
And all the ancient society could use psyenergy. Like in that village where Ian was born, there was a wind psyenergy society there, a wind lemuriaXD.
