OHA: The paradox of appology
For some reason this whole scenario for later in the OHA series popped into my head while walking home from the library...so...without further ado....
The Paradox of Appologies
Genre: philosophical romance/satire
Rating: R: Goju's in it...duh.
"So let me get this straight...you won't go back home until Elhaz, your master, appologizes to you for his not all that nice treatment right? How's he supposed to say he's sorry if you won't go home,he doesn't know where YOU are, you don't have a cell phone or any way of contact and you refuse to speak to him?!"
"Hmph! If he cared enough he'd figure it out." Geli said with a snide little snort as she picked up a lemon tea cake
"You're beautiful...but you have the brain of a guinea hen!" Goju murmured with a smirk from across the table.
........
"I'm serious you fucking whack job! I'm sick of being treated as some possession or as your "pet dog" or whatever..." Geli screamed at Elhaz from across the appartment that they shared, lacing up her leather dress while grabbing her cape and mini computer.
Instead of arguing with her or pleading, the usually straight faced elf fell back amongst the pillows on their full sized bed and laughed until tears came to his eyes. "Geli, geli geli! Listen to yourself...."Elhaz curled a lock of his soft bluegreen hair around one finger and lounged against the velvet covers, completely un affected by her explosion of temper "you sound like some whiny romance novel heroine. You know what you are to me. We're bond partners...legally you're my slave." His eyes grew cold as he grinned maliciously "Typically I should be barely feeding you, whipping you daily, using you for my pleasures and keeping you in total bondage with perhaps a chastity belt and instead I treat you as a person. I've gotten you a job working with the Shadow Guard...you have clothes, a nice place to stay...I think you have it pretty good. Now if you dont like that, I could arrange...something else." He smoothed the gold tassel on the pillow he was leaning against apsently and looked up at her.
Geli was livid; her face was red, her hands clenched. She took a deep breath, focusing on calming down using her Brainware and wardrug implants. "You arrogant...son...of...a bitch! Don't you get it?! I've always been someone possession! For once I want to be an equal! I want to have friends and live a normal life! I'm sick of being someone's pet, someone's weapon...someone's...."her fingers cracked as she made a fist slowly "someone's whore..."
Elhaz looked up at the ceiling fan in mild boredom "But you know you like it Gelidus." His gaze was quite unsympathetic and almost sadisticly evil. "You're the one who's always pouncing on me. I seriously doubt you could last a day without begging me to fuck you. Heh....you're a slave to your own desires, not mine, and you know it." His final words were met with a snarl from his alien creature as she turned on her heel, wavy hair flying, and slammed the door in his face.
"Screw you ELHAZ! I'm not coming back until you appolygize you unsensitive, calluous and sadistic cocksucker!!"
"Ow...harsh. She'll be back..." He mused to himself, getting up to get some coffee. And he kept telling himself that for the next three weeks. This elf wasn't about to say he was wrong and Geli wasn't going to give in. It was a stalemate of the worst kind, and nothing's quite as nasty as a lover's battle between immortals.
To Be Continued...
Quote of the future chapter:
Goju: Just because you're doing the horizontal mombo with someone, doesn't mean that there's feelings involved. Sure there's FEELINGS involved but not emotions...life ain't a romance novel sweetheart

For the past three weeks she'd been spending all of her time living in the guest quarters at Ping Pai Yee's compound where the dragon trained war wizards, sex ninjas, and legendary dreadnoughts. Geli was staying in the room next to Yoni, Ping's co-teacher, who was a very attractive half celestrial. She taught the sex ninjas and occasionally took over other jobs when Ping was out. Geli was just glad she was nice enough to share some space for a while.
"Make yourself at home cutie! I know how lover's spats are. You can stay here as long as you like, provided that you help me with a few things." Yoni was saying as she braided up her long white hair like she always did before heading out in the morning. Her slanted eyes were closed in concentration as she wrapped the hair rope up around itself and pinned it to the back of her head.
"Thanks...I appreciate it." Geli sighed and smoothed her barrowed linen robe; luckily it was for a tall man so it fit her fairely well and for once her tits weren't on display in outfits from this world. "Is it ok if I go see Goju? It's his day off..."
"of course, provided that you don't cause too much trouble...and meet either here or off site." The half celestrial stood slowly and tugged the various ties of her training robe into place. "I'll need you to help me demonstrate a particular chi touch later tonight if you would. Wait, you do have the same emp aura and chi lines as a regular person right?"
"I think so..."
"Oh good, I don't like to use students, they think it means something! Well see you later...hope all goes well."
"Yeah..see ya." Geli flopped back down on the extra firm batting of the futon and stared up at the ceiling and the fan made out of swan wings. Elhaz had a ceiling fan just like it..black swan wings but typical for the elvish decorating style that was popular on this world. Elhaz...three weeks since she'd last seen him. She was hoping that he'd show up to sweep her off her feet and take her home but he hadn't...and she wasn't about to give in and come crawling back to him. Geli was so lost in thought that she didn't notice Goju come in until he was leaning over her, his shoulder length black hair falling around his face rakishly.
"Hey there sugar lips, don't you look lovely and pouty today." He said with a grin, leaning down a little more so his hot breath licked over the skin of her neck teasingly.
"Mmm...hey Goju..." She shivered "You're so bad, teasing me like that! You know I'm with Elhaz..."
"Yeah Elhaz...who kicked you out of the house."
"He didn't kick me out of the house...I left because I was mad."
GOju sat down next to her "Why not stay here with us for a while longer before you go back."

Meanwhile back in Eidios:
"What do you mean 'I don't know where she went"?!?" The chair of the Eidios HIgh Council bellowed across the meeting chamber as he threw a large book straight at Elhaz...who casually side stepped it.
"We had a little...spat...and she ran off."
"How is that possible! The collar should have kept her here! I thought you said your control was absolute." This was Empress Mona. Her large dark eyes with wide with fear; Geli going AWOL was something the council had long dreaded.
"The only way she could have gotten away is with the help of someone with an extremely powerful aura to hide her from my bond's raidar. But there's no wizard strong enough to do that that i know of."
"What about a dragon?"
"Now how would an alien drug runner become friends with a dragon? Even then there aren't any dragons strong enough to overpower my bond on her!" For once in a century Elhaz's cool facade cracked infront of the council. "I can still feel her in my head, I know her powers don't work...in fact without me around her strength is that of a normal human woman and she is unable to use her spells! I'll find her soon enough...if she gets very emotional I'll be able to pick her up and then I can bring her back. Until then..."He snarled "I'll have to wait. This is my problem, stay...out...of...my...WAY!"
His shout echoed in the chamber for a minute as the elders stared at him with shock. ONe of two of them had been around for Elhaz's bonding to the Holy Sword and knew of his brute magic strength and cunning. They were more worried about who was powerful enough to break a heavy slave bond with Elhaz...who had the aura to cover Geli from magic radar? It was like a submarine hiding under an aircraft carrier to keep from being tracked...but who could offer that much protection. The council was worried. Who would have that much chi to effectivly hide Geli's power from Elhaz's magic detection? THey frankly didn't want to know.

Who could have the raw chi power to overwhelm Geli's signal? Elhaz only hoped that she did something to boost her aura or left that person's side soon...he missed her and the council was starting to lean on him. The chi he did sense seemed familiar somehow...it was time to do some seer work
Elhaz stalked back to his office muttering to himself all the way. As he moved down the halls of the Shadow Guard main office, other agents dove out of his way. Aleatha was running after him, her heavy black boots making loud clacking noises on the shiny granite of the floor.
"Elhaz wait up you big goon!"
"What is it Aleatha?" He snapped, punching the up button on the elevator hard enough to get it stuck. "Can't you see I'm having a crisis here?!"
The dark haired Nemisid caught up with him at the end of the hall when he stopped to catch the elevator.
"Why did Geli run away?"
"Shut up"
"Elhaz!" She reached out and grabbed his shoulder, her fingers digging into the golden dragon fabric of his shirt and into the hard muscle benieth. "If we knew what went wrong, we can maybe guess where she went. She isn't stupid you know, while she could survive by herself in the outback in her basic state, she's no better than a human, a really really strong human with regeneration, but a human with your bond on her! She's got to have gone somewhere where there's people, someplace she can stay where she can get those 5000 cal a day." Her maroon eyes flashed as she sidled around to get onto the elevator first in front of him.
"Feh, I don't even know how she got out of the city!"
"Well does she know anybody outside?"
The heavy gold doors shut with a happy dinging noise as the elevator started the 69 floor climb to the penthouse floor he shared with the empress. Elhaz leaned against the cool metal of the wall and thought for a moment. Geli liked to leave the city occasionally...he'd given her a pair of instant transportation shoes...but where did she go? She'd never gone off of his magic radar before. Whoever she was seeing suddenly had a jump of power to their chi and was now hiding her from him.
"I gave her a pair of transport shoes..."
"You're a moron."
"..."
"Sorry, go on." Aleatha smoothed the front of soft leather dress, the brown fabric gave her a strangly subdued look.
"As I was saying...I gave her a pair of transport shoes so she could go see her friend from Drak what's his name....Gaja, George...Goku..GOJU! That's it Goju!"
"Goju? What kind of funky name is that?"
"I don't know, he's some bounty hunter from Drak that she brought back as a refugee. " He rubbed his temples with two fingers, a migraine was creeping up on him quickly and he could already feel that burning tension in his forehead. "I met him and he couldn't be the one sheilding her! His chi just isn't strong enough."
Aleatha looked up at the rising numbers and bit her lip in thought. Goju the bounty hunter was the only person Geli knew outside the city.
"Maybe he got stronger?"
"I felt his chi when I shook his hand Aleatha, him verse what I feel now is like 'burning hands' vs an enhanced fireball that takes out whole cities!"
"Well he's the only lead we've got."
"Fine. I"ll go into a seer trance and see what I can see. Since Geli's not here you'll have to guard me."
