Sketch day: Semi Frozen North(Pictures)

Post by Vorticus »

Given the lack of gatherings recently, I've decided to host one myself.

Who: Whoever is close.(I know there's a few of you)
Where: Barnes and Nobles Bookstore, in the little cafe placey.
Har Mar Mall
2100 North Snelling Ave
Roseville, Minnesota
Get directions from where ever http://storelocator.barnesandnoble.com/ ... store=2614
When: September 10th 2005, 1 pm to whenever
What: Get together, draw, hang out, and stuff.
Additional stuff: I'll be providing sketch paper, mech pencils, and possibly buying coffee or sweets if people need that incentive to show up. Most likely I'll have a camera to take pictures. Consider yourself warned.
Why: Because I feel like it.

If I've forgotten anything, I'll add it later.

Whoa! There's a Har Mar Mall (2100 North Snelling Ave, Roseville, Minnesota) on Mars?!

Damn, those Martians sure are sneaky with their who civilization up there.
Haughty spirit and pride make for a wild roller coaster ride!
I mean, as long as you like fairly final endings.

A touch out of my way, I'm afraid, but if I do happen to be passing, I'll drop in.

Don't be silly, haven't you heard of the Mars to Minnesota Immediate Matter Transmission device. Something about the weather makes it the only place that connects well with Mars. Bet you didn't know Mars and Minnesota were neighbors did you?

Count me in :) Should we be alerting area fans that we'll be doing sketches that day?

Dang! That's still a ways away from me. I'd come, but I've already volunteered to do caricatures for our church picnic on the 11th. :(

If anybody wants to come by Lincoln, though, I'll take you to Runza!

If you have fans that would show up, I don't see why not.

Also, to cut down on confusion I'll be wearing this hat

That way no one has to walk around asking people if they're me. That and I like wearing that hat.

Cortland: You'd come all that way just for a sketch day? Wow.

Gosh darnit, if I weren't in Iowa that weekend, I'd totally go. I love the Har Mar Barnes & Noble.

Let me float this idea out there, the sketch day doesn't have to be on the 10th, most importantly I'd like it to be when the most people can come. I'd like to keep it on a weekend because I work Mon-Fri, but other than that I'm open to suggested dates(read; all my weekends in Sept. are free). So Cortland and nekomimi if there are other weekends that are close timewise and work for you please post them. Also Ryuko and Picatrix if you can come on other weekends please post them. Hopefully we can work out a day on whcih everyone who wants to come can come.

Well, as for myself, if I'm not out of town for the next six weekends, I'm working at the Ren Fest, so I wouldn't be able to do anything til October. Eep.

Oh to be busy!

Okay, the sketch day will stay on the 10th of Sept. I'll see whomever is coming there.

I worked there last year... Frankly, I think Greek Booth workers sould get paid a little bit more than minimum wage. : p

I'll try to be there, if I have the transportation. Can't promise anything.

Almost exactly 9 hours for a 624 mile drive.

*sigh*
