What is this??
I'm getting the same message.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

This error is intermittent, and is probably being caused by server traffic. Even if it isn't, if you get this error, try again. Try from the http://siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080 link, and if it doesn't work, hit "back" on your browser and try clicking it again.

It appears to be giving me a bad gateway as well and my comic hasn't updated yet.

Per Risky's suggestion, I tried a few times and did in fact get in.

I didn't. I got to: Logging you in
This page requires authentication, please goto the Login page.

And now when I try it I get this: 502 Bad Gateway
The CGI was not CGI/1.1 compliant.

But I think this is part of the FUBAR nature of my site. *chuckle* After all, it wouldn't be FUBAR if it was fixable. :D

I know my problem was stated way back on the first page, and I am not trying to press it upon anyone to solve.

Short of signing up again, I currently see no way to get it working again, and I just want to make sure that it is my last resort before doing so. Thanks in advance.

Hello there,

first of all I'd like to say that you guys rock. You're providing us comic scribblers with this great network, THANK YOU. You don't deserve all these server problems, honestly.

My problem is I can't update any more because every time I try I get this message:

phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the Local database

or:

502 Bad Gateway

URL: animaltesting.keenspace.com
wxp
internet explorer

I use smartFTP for uploading and never had any serious problems with that.

Have a lovely day,
LeBeau

PHP doesn't run on the server located on port 8080. IT can't, I didn't add the Boa patch for it. If you're not talking about siteadmin port 8080, please don't post here.

I did read my PMs, and I've been trying to sign up again, but like I said, I keep getting blank pages with a 'connection timed out' error or a 'The Page Cannot Be Displayed' error. :/ I take out the ':8080' and I get '404 error' written on the page, no error popup or anything. I have an idea that I'd like to try out, but unfortunately it'd take a different connection type. Ever since my mom got DSL, it's been nothing but trouble. :/ I'm really hoping that she can get some money coming in and stuff, that way she can buy a second phone line and I can use the 56k modem card and finally MAYBE manage to access the bloody signup page. :[

Stuff related to the creation of comics is currently DOWN. That is, you cannot make or confirm a new comic at the moment.

Signup verification should no longer 403. We are still taking applications, it just works on port :8080 until we get everything ported to PHP.

I noticed a post earlier in which you stated the possibility of any one who had signed up around the server crashes might have been lost. I was wondering if you could check into that possibility for my account as well. I signed up, and verified my account but when I tried to log in it stated that I was using the wrong password. After waiting a few days I tried again then changed my password. The password change seemed to go fine but once I tried to log in it still denied me.

Comic/Account Name:Neftair
Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106IC
Mozilla FireFox 1.0.1
OS: Windows 98

Thank you.

Not only I get 502 Bad Gateway but I couldn't log in FTP. It's the same password and last used FTP around 8 hours ago.
