i've never found Doug particularly squicky, except for my phobia of canines, and even back when he was doing the illustrations to go with the "Mallworld" series of stories... those got a fair bit weirder than msot of the recent stuff, as i recall. (of course, i was always a bit bitter about those, the three master-reaces gripped by eternal fuckwar are the dogs, the horses and the bimbos? bah! catgirl-funta by land, dolphingirl-funta by sea, and the MFFUD (more-fish-for-us-dammit) Alliance will crush all opposition into thin white stains on the surrounding architechture! *giggles evilly*

*sigh* I guess you're right, Doug's stuff is pretty much old hat nowadays, at least around here... though there are plenty of laces where people will react with shock and horror just at the mention of his name.

Personally, I actually like his stuff. He's a very good artist, and is often quite funny. And (some kinds of) squickliness are a good thing to me, of course.

Ah, well, at least the PPGSlash stuff seems to have been... popular.
