I like to review and look at new works critically, so I end up giving out a lot of 'em. =P
So far I've been happy with the reviews I've gotten so far. However, I keep on getting ambivalent opinions about the writing and art (both in-thread and from other statements and e-mails), so it's often confusing for me to figure out what needs to be fixed and what shouldn't be tinkered with.

I hope poor sob doesn't intend to read the ENTIRE archives before reviewing it.(But if it helps, I'm enjoying it so far!)
Also: Thanks to Nanda and Lintjinks for their reviews of Station V3!

nice comic. Not earth shakingly good, but nice.

What I find mildly annoying is that you always seem to go out of your way to take potshots at people. I've noticed this on many occasions.Dutch! wrote:The bit I find tricky and mildly annoying is when you keep looking back at the thread and find either someone you've reviewed before at the bottom or someone who's work you have absolutely no interest in (possibly because it's furry, but that's only one possibililililility...).

There's nothing wrong with furry, everyone. If someone writes a comic with animal people, that doesn't mean it's some sort of freaky sexually deviant piece of fanfiction.
Two of the most touching and honest comics I ever read were anthro comics (End of Things and Untitled!)
That said, let's get on with the reviews...

I found the Christwriter review to be helpful, and much of it I agree with. As for the meandering, the story I'm on right now was gonna be a 10 page joke about an assassination, but to me it seemed to want to go on. The story I was gonna do instead was outlined and much tighter in terms of structure since it pertains to the actual overall plot, but I decided to put it off till later for some stupid reason. I found that some people like the looseness of it, and some don't.
p.s.
the soap story was almost scene for scene based on actual events. I fealt it was so odd that had to draw it. I shoulda done it later as a filler though, as I feel it didn't do much for character development by the time it was over. Most people found it funny though, since it was supposed to be ridiculous.
Take care of your burned hand. Burns aren't fun. I burned my entire hand on a pizza pan once.

Apologies if that came across wrong...I could just as simply have said manga, anime or other styles and content that I personally find don't pluck my interest.PeppermintAfterlife wrote:What I find mildly annoying is that you always seem to go out of your way to take potshots at people. It wasn't a potshot, so I'm sorry if you picked it up that way. I don't mind the odd potshot, no, but I try to make sure the people I take them at know it's coming or will most probably play along.
So yeah, sorry if it caused offense.

See I sat down and read through all of P.A.L's archives because I had intended to do a review.... but I got beaten to the punch.... and while I'm not a big "furry" fan myself I found his comic to be quite a good read....PeppermintAfterlife wrote:What I find mildly annoying is that you always seem to go out of your way to take potshots at people. My question to P.A.L. is are we going to find out the backstory behind your characters? They seem somewhat pessimistic (not all of them) and down in the dumps alot.... but they seem to have reason.... I'm wondering if we will get to see that reason in future strips....

* 'Had to explain that one. The sentence makes complete and very ordinary sense in context (even if it was stating the extremely obvious but that just means people'll think I'm stupid).
I see nothing wrong with people popping back in to review someone else and to get another review. The more input you get, the better, and the thread will keep going then.
The only thing I find annoying is people who don't read the first post to understand the rules and then asks how to do it, thus breaking up the flow of the thread, or people who just refuse to put up placeholders for comics.
