Drawing for a Cause - Do it for the kiddies
I think none of you know this, but I have a (much) younger brother who has a sort of high-functioning autism known as Asperger's Syndrome. Understandably, my parents are into working for different autism charities from time to time, and this is where I get to the point. We're making a coloring book for a local autism get-together for little kids. It's at a farm. My mom signed me up to do the coloring book, and I suppose I could if I had to, but I was wondering if there were any of you out there who might be interested in contributing a page. It has to be big, simple (these kids have autism, don't forget) and I need pictures of sheep, pigs, chickens/roosters and peacocks/peahens - these are the animals the farm has. If anyone is at all interested, please feel free to post here or PM me. I'd really appreciate the help. (I have 1000 tiny fairies to make for the fairy fountain as it is...)

Would a huge noncolored sprite page work?
It'd be kind of a cool coloring book page I think, but not to be insulting but depending on the autism symptoms (which I know little of so please correct me) seeing a page of a blown up sprite picture might be too much of a stretch to make out what it is.
Maybe? I dunno. Please educate me =[

Ooh, I'll definately try and get something done for this. I have a cousin with Asperger's Syndrome and went to school with another Asperger for most of my childhood, so it's a cause I'm pretty involved in. Of course I want to help.
When do you need these pictures to be done? And what resolution/sizes/formats would you like to receive them in?

Actually, we "Aspergers," and autists in general, are quite good at discerning patterns. So good, in fact, that it is often a problem: We can have trouble distracting from a pattern when we have found one, and have tendencies to "fix" things in order to make them fit their pattern.
I would love to help out, too. More details requested.

I have a teddy bear already done that I have yet to use for it's purpose...
That won't do, will it.
I can try to do a cow. I like cows.
BTW, my webcomic is not a good example of my art.
http://www.cafepress.com/chopsticksneo that is an example of one teddy bear drawing I did. The unused one is better, I'm just lazy.

Someday, someday I'll finish Confabulation. That day is not today, however.

Actually, both of my younger brothers have it, too, but the older of the two is a lot better at functioning in society, so it's a very mild case. My youngest brother, however, has a much harder time and requires special schooling.AsterAzul wrote:It's a small world, Nanda... I have two autistic brothers as well...
So of course I'm interested.

I'm planing on puting in a Farmhouse and backround and such.Dutch! wrote:This is fair dinkum, but I saw a colouring book on sale once. It was of 101 Dalmations.
Yes. Every picture you had to colour in black and white.
Unless the dog opened its mouth, when you got to colour its tongue.
I thought that was just insanely cruel.
Made me laugh though.
And some cows have brown spots, so I'll leave the dark areas white.
