One of my roommates has a Machiavelli doll. He'd be taking over the world by any means possible right now, if he wasn't finger activated and stuck to the refrigerator by a magnet.
Only my history major roommate would think Machiavelli was hot... *shudder*

But they're too big to hurt you.Pillywiggin wrote:Well, when you turn the lights down and you look at them happily sitting next to a set of philosopher plushies, it gets mildly creepy.Mercury Hat wrote:Aww, those are cute, Pillywiggin.
I just know that the Flesh Eating Disease is going to get me in the middle of the night.
My two monsters.... I used to have pet rats but I dont seem to have a picture of either of them
.
The first one, Chocs (Chocy, misses, Chocolate..) is as timid as anything, though she can't half howl when she wants too
I'm pretty sure that Treacle is has a beer belly too, and hes starting to possibly have issues with fitting through the cat flap

No thankfully, one was an albino and died not long after we got him he was never very healthy and Marco, the other one, picked on him awfully. Marco eithre had a tumor or got pneumonia and died a year later.Warren wrote:Did your cats eat them?Rowen wrote:My two monsters.... Maybe I'll get a pet rat again one day, they're great company especially when they sit on your shoulder

I've got all sorts of weird stuffed animals (though I recently had to get rid of a good half of themmcDuffies wrote:I got it a long time ago and I think it's the coolest toy ever because, who'd ever think of making a plush rat?!?

..I don't understand either. But it makes random people laugh hysterically when they see it.
Well I'd better post pet pictures, since I'm here.

A closeup of my sweetie, Luna. She is two, is a tortoiseshell, and is a spoiled brat because she's so cute. She sleeps with me and I guard her like a scary possessive mother.

Pixel, our twelve-year-old tabby, lying in the catnip patch.
Interesting plant, catnip. We planted it last year, I believe, in a very small bit of the garden. The catnip has somehow spread out by a good two feet in every direction.

Our thirteen-year-old black mutt. She is very loud but doesn't bite - she grew up with kids so she's a very sweet dog and will tolerate just about anything. Also chews tennis balls to bits in under an hour, and has managed to hide both the Kongs we bought her somehow.

Yeah, but thats about the only major downside to them, (other than having to clean their cages) their much fun while their aliveAsterAzul wrote:Rats aren't very good pets because they have such short lifespans.![]()
You keep them for a couple years and then it's curtains.
I love the little buggers, though.

Agreed. I had a few rats a few years ago, and I absolutely adored them (even spent several hundred dollars to help one live a few more months) but in the end, they live such short lives it's too hard for me. I don't want to have to say goodbye to a friend every 3 years or less.AsterAzul wrote:Rats aren't very good pets because they have such short lifespans.![]()

Now, I LOVE it when friends have rats. I get all of the play and none of the attachment

I can't find my photos!cjburgandy wrote:Ginger's brother is way over sized and is offten mistaken for a collie (his name is Bear) Ginger is around 14 inches tall at the sholder, while Bear is 25 inches tall at the sholder. EDIT: Wait! I found a black and white photo I had taken in high school!

His name was Sneakers, and he was the brother I never had.
