I used to collect baseball cards because everyone else liked them and I wanted to have other things in common with other kids. Later I stopped being a tool and just hate baseball out in the open. Arguably I'm still some kind of tool, but a different one I guess.

I also still have a bunch of Pogs. Remember those?

I had to take Gymnastics... You know why?

BECAUSE I WANTED TO FREAKING LEARN TO SWIM!

My mom decided that in order for me to take swimming lessons at the YMCA, that I would have to take gymnastic lessons at the same time. I was a little kid like 7-8 maybe at the time, but that sucked. I hated going each and every time. I have no idea how I got out of that alive. I was horribly uncoordinated back then, and I never improved at all while in the class. I love my mom, and she kicks total ass, but I am still pissed off about that.

My parents tried soccer with me first, and that failed miserably. Then they tried swimming, and that stuck all the way through high school. Somewhere in the middle there, we tried basketball, but it turns out being tall doesn't inherently make you good.

besides the competive dance team, I also played baseball and bowled. I would have gone out for the swim team, but I'm terrified of heights so badly that even standing on the start boxes make me terribly nervous.

Baseball I stopped playing because it's hard to do competive dance if your face is a magnet for baseballs. (by the end of my last season I had a black eye, a broken tooth and 2 fat lips)

I was on the Speech and Debate team. Take that, athletics!

I was also highly involved in drama, and somewhat less so in band. Also part of the high school computer gaming organization, whatever they ended up calling themselves.

I knew someone on the football team. Does that count?

fake edit: my partner in speech and debate played soccer and he's a real ninja. No fooling, this guy is fourth in his weight class nationally in Tae Kwon Do and never carries fewer than two knives.

real edit: oh yeah, I play softball.

I know a guy who's a real ninja as well.

And one time, a softball landed on my pinky finger when i tried to catch a pop fly, and it got sprained or jammed or something. It really hurt and when it healed, I can crack it in weird ways my other fingers won't crack.

People should post more pictures.

Why? A girl, duh.

You don't belong here. You are and always were a geek.

This thread makes me sound as if I was the king of my high school or something, but I was still a rather large nerd. Just some skinny, pale skinned, introverted kid with a lousy hair cut and very little self confidence. Much like now, except I liked football then.

despite the fact I did sports, I was also in the Drama club, newspaper, choir and was president of the Animation club. Trust me, I couldn't hide my geek with sports.

Well, since I'm apparently a terrible camwhore, here's me being held at gunpoint by one of my residents.

LOL!

...

Oh wait, an embarassing sports memory just re-emerged in my memory. When I was in 6th grade I was on my school's basketball team. I should explain that in more detail. I was on the team, but I never actually played. In gradeschool they weren't into the whole having-to-tryout-and-make-the-team, although they did have two teams, the A-team (all-star team) and the B-team (bad team). I was on the B-team, naturally. I came to the first practice, and just stopped showing up after that.

And I lost my $50 deposit.

Can't see enough from that resolution, but, uh, silver Beretta 92FS complying with (very weird) US law with a painted orange barrel?

Can't really tell what brand it is, the black hammer is none that I know.

How strange. I can see it. Maybe Deviantart just doesn't like direct linkage. Here's the page...

Edit: Ah, looks like I had it cached. When I get home I'll upload it to my own server.
