Okie dokie, here's my lineart. I didn't draw in the special effects coz I wanted to do it separately, so do what you think looks best.

Here's my take on yours, Humbug. Enjoy, all!

I would contribute but, uhm, COLOURING TAKES TOO MUCH TIME >.<

This silly little 300 X 300 avatar-esque thing took three hours to colour. Thinking how long a complicated image like the ones posted here makes me tremble in cold and sticky fear O.o

Here's my take on Humbug's lineart (which is awesome).

Image

I kinda rushed it half way through. I'm suppose to be packing. ^^

SO that's why the cloth and everything but the skin is shoddy. Woo! Took me about...4 hours.

I'm very happy how it came out, though. Humbug, do you mind me putting it in my gallery? Your lineart will be credited to you, of course.[/img]

THanks. =D

I'm still working on lighting and rendering, but this is the best I've done so far.

I didn't bother with much care on the chair. It's a little... uh... weird.

Eh, nearly forgot. I wanted to put something up to be colored too. =p

It's not as clean as other people's, I just want to see what other people's takes on it are.

It's also anthro, so if you don't like the stuff... :-?

Practice, really. But the concept for this sort of digital painting really was inspired by:

Mattias Snygg:

http://www.mattiassnygg.com/tutorials/tut1.htm

Socar Myles:

http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/ar ... gallery=98

and Jon Hodgson:

http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/ar ... llery=1737

After looking at that, mine doesn't look too awesome, does it? ;)

I really used Snygg's techniques but didn't take it all the way to the detail level and left the pencils on top.

I decided to try a new style, but gave up after forty-five minutes of

the most inefficient and frustrating method of flatting colors I've ever used. It's a damn shame, too, because it looks like the final product can be really neat.

I'll try and have something tomorrow.
