sorry it took so long to post, but I couldn't log in.
Honestly, I think the big difference betewen mine and B&G is that David went for a simplistic look that didn't really do much justice. The fact is, his lines were sharper than mine, but his characters ultimately worse because of the style.
If I were to draw that simple, I could get the lines that smooth, but I'm trying for a more detailed approach.
Ultimately, the difference is, I'm willing to put in the time to get mine to become better. Now B&G realized that he had something big, whereas as a hand drawn comic he would have likely faded into mediocrity. but then again, he was the first sprite comic. KotOC has, probably somewhere around 100 loyal fans, although I really don't know how to check that number anymore (they took away the status report button I used to click). As a sprite comic, it was never going to reach the popularity I think it deserved. It still won't but now I can improve my art skills without "abandoning" the story.
And once I'm confident enough, I can start some of my other stories.
