I've noticed lately that Off Topic Junk seems to be rivaling GD in terms of traffic. Has anyone looked in GD lately? It's a wasteland. All the cool topics are here.

I demand a third option! I go to GD to find serious discussions about webcomics (and derail them), and visit OT to join serious discussions about everything else non-webcomic (and then derail them).

So, I like both in equal measure.
Faith is what credulity becomes when it finally achieves escape velocity from the constraints of terrestrial discourse- reasonableness, internal coherence, civility, and candor. Thus, the men who commited the atrocities of September 11 were neither cowards nor lunatics of any sort, but Men of Faith- perfect faith- and this, it must finally be acknowleged, is a terrible thing to be.

Junk indeed ruler GD in traffic lately, don't know why. Specially because lots of people from GD don't visit Junk, while most of "junkers" go to GD.
I'd say it's one of usual flipflops, this forum is a moody bitch.
But I noticed that in Junk, all the action is whithin limited number of threads. When I come visit forum twice in few hours, I see all topics I replied to in Junk replied to. In GD, there's a lot less replies, but more disperse in threads, also new threads appear more ofter and old ones die faster.

To me, difference between Junk and GD is, on GD I can talk all kinds of crap because I'm not moderator.
While on junk I can talk all kinds of crap because I am moderator, I guess.

I suppose I should venture outside of OT more often, but then, I can start a riot in OT and everyone joins in the fun. What if I were to start a riot in GD?

That's really sad. Riots used to be perfectly acceptable in GD as well.
I guess that's what happens when you introduce a junk forum - it's sort of inferred that all the whackiness and stupidity should be contained here, which, by pure coincidence, I have been more active in lately.
